SONOMA, Calif. Shayne Gostisbehere Jersey . -- Tony Stewart was running lap times about a second faster than expected at Indianapolis Motor Speedway when a blown tire caused him to wreck this week in a Goodyear test. Goodyear officials said Stewarts accident 17 laps into Tuesdays 20-lap run was the only incident of the two-day test. The three-time NASCAR champion wasnt injured. "Our test speeds were extremely fast at Indianapolis," Greg Stucker, Goodyears director of racing, said in a statement Friday. "Tony was approaching the end of a very strong 20-lap run, with his lap times as much as a second faster than what has become the norm at Indianapolis at that point of a run. "It appears that increased, sustained speed over that run generated a significant amount of heat, which eventually caused the right-front to go down." Stewart wasnt upset with Goodyear over the incident, which he said "destroyed the car, so it was a good hit. "I am not really sure what the cause of it was, but thats part of tire testing," Stewart said. "Thats why you go to the test. Im sure theyll learn something from it and well go on." Joey Logano was one of six drivers at the test and said Stewart easily had the fastest car at Indy. Also at the test were Greg Biffle, Clint Bowyer, Kyle Busch and Ryan Newman, the defending race winner. Stewart, an Indiana native, has two Brickyard victories and puts a huge emphasis on the July race. Following Stewarts tire failure, Logano said Goodyear made adjustments "to figure out a way to knock some speed out of these race cars." Teams were given a different left side tire to use and will wait to see what Goodyear decides to bring for the race. "I know when we left they were going to go back and discuss where they wanted to be, but I think theyre going in the right direction on making sure they have the security in the tire, making sure its safe," Logano said. "Its definitely a very big challenge when you come to a race track and you go faster and youre already on edge. Youve got to come back with something thats even more durable and thats hard." Indianapolis has been a difficult track for Goodyear, and the tire brought to the 2008 race was not durable enough to make it more than a dozen or so laps. NASCAR was forced to call a caution roughly every 10 laps to force teams to change tires. "The thing about Indianapolis is the tough conditions the cars and the tires have to endure," Stucker said. "The surface is very abrasive, the long straightaways and short chutes are fast, cornering is tough with very little banking. Combine that with this new car package, and youve got conditions that put a lot of stress on the tires." Chris Pronger Jersey . Marc-Andre Fleury made 27 saves to backstop the Penguins to a 2-1 victory over the Flames, handing Calgary its team record sixth consecutive home regulation loss. Cole Bardreau Jersey . Today, their baseball playing sons were reportedly traded for each other. According to the Los Angeles Times, the Chicago Cubs dealt minor league outfield Trevor Gretzky to the Angels for catcher Matt Scioscia. http://www.nhlflyersproauthentic.com/ivan-provorov-hockey-jersey/ . Duhamel, from Lively, Ont., and Radford, from Balmertown, Ont., were third with 210.84 points. Teammates Kirsten Moore-Towers of St. Catharines, Ont., and Dylan Moscovitch of Toronto were fourth. Duhamel and Radford, who were seventh at the Sochi Olympics, also won bronze at last years world championships in London, Ont.Reggie Abercrombie saw a hanging curveball and ended the Winnipeg Goldeyes losing streak at five games. Gary Southshore RailCats reliever Ethan Gibbons left a curveball up and over the plate with Brock Bond on second and one out in the bottom of the 11th inning and Abercrombie drilled it over the left field wall to give the Goldeyes a 4-2 win over the RailCats on a cool, rainy Sunday afternoon at Shaw Park. With only a handful of the 5,232 who showed up to watch the Goldeyes finish a three-game series with Gary remaining in the ballpark, the Fish ended their longest slump of the season and improved to 35-19 with a thrilling 11th inning, walk-off, two-run bomb. "He left a curveball up in the zone and I was to get all of it," said Abercrombie who was still covered in shaving cream and talcum powder from the post-game celebration. "Like Ive said, Ive been struggling since we returned home from Fargo and Ive been doing a lot of extra work. But Rick (manager Forney) talked to me the other day and told me that everything would come around my teammates have been behind throughout the whole thing and I just cant say enough about them." With the victory, the Goldeyes remained 5 1/2 games ahead of St. Paul in the race for first in the American Associations North Division. The Saints will come to Winnipeg to play five games in about 2 1/2 days, starting Tuesday. Despite the victory, Forney said he was heartbroken from starter, Chris Salamida. After all, Salamida pitched 8 1/3 innings and didnt allow an earned run but didnt get the win because of an error in the ninth that turned a 2-0 Goldeyes lead into a 2-2 tie. "I really am heartbroken for Sal," Forney said. "He pitched his heart out today and he deserved to get the win. Im just so disappointed we couldnt get it for him. HHe was outstanding at a time when we needed a starter to be outstanding. Dustin Tokarski Jersey. The bullpen has been great, but we needed to give them some time off and what Sal gave us today is exactly what we needed. The Goldeyes took a 2-0 lead in the third inning when Luis Alen walked, Jordan Guida dropped down a sacrifice bunt and ended up being safe on an error that sent Alen to third. Tyler Kuhn drove home Alen with a solid single that sent Guida to third and Guida scored on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Bond. Salamida proceeded to pitch brilliantly, but he was blindsided in the ninth. Garys Zac Mitchell singled, Ryan Babineau struck out looking and pinch hitter Cody Bishop doubled to score Mitchell. Brendan Lafferty replaced Salamida and he immediately got Wally Backman to hit a ground ball to first. But with the wet ball in the rain, first baseman Casey Haerther flipped the ball over Laffertys head, scoring Bishop to tie the game. The Goldeyes finished with four runs on six hits while Gary managed only two runs on 10 hits. In his first day as a member of the Goldeyes, newcomer Cephas Howard got the win (2-1, 3.86 ERA). Howard faced one batter in the 11th and got him to fly to left on the second pitch. Gibbons (0-1, 2.31 ERA) took the loss. There was no save. The Goldeyes will have Monday off then start a five-games-in-three-days series with a doubleheader on Tuesday night against the St. Paul Saints. Game 1 will be the completion of a game that was suspended due to rain on June 14. No pitchers have been determined for the continuation of the nine-inning game, which will start with two-out in the bottom of the third inning. In Game 2, a seven-inning game, Matt Jackson (7-3, 3.69 ERA) will get the start for Winnipeg while Nick Barnese (3-5, 3.63 ERA) will take to the bump for St. Paul. ARLINGTON, Texas -- Luis Montes scored two minutes before a leg injury sent him to the hospital, helping Mexico beat Ecuador 3-1 Saturday in the first of three tuneups in the U. Neymar JR Jersey .S. leading to the World Cup. Montes drove a left-footed shot into the lower left corner of the net from just outside the top of the goal box after a pass from Oribe Peralta in the 33rd minute. Shortly after the goal, Montes and Ecuadors Segundo Castillo became entangled and went down chasing a loose ball. Castillo limped off the field and didnt return. Montes never got up. Montes, a key member of El Tris midfield, covered his face as he was carried off on a stretcher to cheers from the pro-Mexican crowd of 84,876 at the home of the Dallas Cowboys. The club said he was being examined for a possible fracture of his lower right leg. Castillo was hospitalized for further evaluation of a right knee injury. Mexican captain Rafael Marqez also went to the hospital for an injury to his right foot in a separate first-half play. Mexico, coming off a 3-0 win over Israel, plays Bosnia-Herzegovina on Tuesday night in Chicago and Portugal on Friday in Foxborough, Massachusetts. Its World Cup opener in Brazil is June 13 against Cameroon. Ecuador has one more exhibition -- against England on Wednesday in Miami -- before opening the World Cup June 15 against Switzerland. Marco Fabian, who replaced Castillo, scored a long shot that again beat Ecuador keeper Maximo Banguera diving to his right for a 2-0 lead in the 69th minute. Giovani dos Santos made it 3-0 when his shot bounced off the post and went off Bangueras head into the net in the 76th minute. De La Rosa lasted only 4 1-3 innings and allowed five runs in his first opening-day start.SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Khari Stephenson broke a nearly yearlong scoring drought with two goals to help the San Jose Earthquakes beat the Houston Dynamo 3-0 on Sunday night. Stephenson, who last scored June 8 for Real Salt Lake, converted off a rare indirect free kick from deep inside Houstons penalty area in the first half, then converted from the penalty spot in the second half. Atiba Harris knocked in the rebound of his own header off the post for the clincher. It was the Earthquakes highest-scoring performance since their season opener. San Jose (3-4-4), which came into the game ranked 18th out of 19 MLS teams at 1.00 goals per match, won for the second time in three games. Houston (5-7-2) dropped its second straight game, both on the road. Riddled with injuries and national team absences, the Dynamo were playing for the fourth consecutive game with less than a full complement of 18 players. Dynamo goalkeeper Tally Halll made a pair of uncharacteristic mistakes to help San Joses cause. Paulinho Jersey. In the 36th minute, Hall picked up a back pass from teammate David Horst, giving the Earthquakes an indirect free kick just outside Houstons 6-yard box. Shea Salinas touched the ball into the path of Stephenson, who blasted home to the far post. Stephenson scored again in the 58th minute after teammate Steven Lenhart, making his first appearance since March 29 due to a sprained knee ligament, drew a penalty on Houston defender Corey Ashe. Harris finished the scoring in the 70th minute, taking advantage after Hall was caught outside of his own box trying to clear a long pass forward by San Jose defender Jordan Stewart. Harris outjumped Hall to head to ball toward goal, then won the race to touch home the rebound for his first goal since June 29. CHICAGO - While Los Angeles and Anaheim prepare for Game 7 of their second-round series, the Chicago Blackhawks are resting and looking for ways they can play even better in the Western Conference final. Custom Los Angeles Rams Jerseys . The Blackhawks practiced Thursday without ailing centre Andrew Shaw, but Brandon Bollig skated on the fourth line after he was suspended for the final two games of their second-round series against Minnesota. Shaw left Game 1 against the Wild with an apparent right leg injury, but he could return in Chicagos next series. "We expect to have him back on the ice this weekend and well get a better determination of when hell play," coach Joel Quenneville said. The Blackhawks missed Shaws net-front presence and pesky style in their six-game victory over Minnesota. The diminutive forward, listed at 5-foot-10 and 180 pounds, has two goals and two assists in the playoffs after he set career highs with 20 goals and 19 assists in the regular season. "He emphasizes his game being gritty and getting to the net and we need more of that," forward Bryan Bickell said. "And I know last series was, we needed a lot of it to be successful and come the next series, when he does come back, I know hell bring it and thats what you need out of him." Bollig was suspended by the NHL for boarding Minnesota defenceman Keith Ballard in Game 4 of their Western Conference semifinal. It was a rough series for Bollig, who had played in every game this season for the Blackhawks until he was a healthy scratch for Game 2 against the Wild. For Thursdays practice, he was reunited with Marcus Kruger and Ben Smith in a line combination that was very successful for the Blackhawks during the regular season. "Ive sure missed it," Bollig said. "Obviously we played together a good portion of the season and we had a nice roll there where we kind of found our niche together. So the fact that we were out there together today and hopefully it stays that way for the game and thats what gets us good quality minutes and playing a quality role." Bolligs role in the next series likely depends on Chicagos opponent. The Kings and Ducks close out the second round when they play on Friday night in Anaheim. The Western Conference final begins Sunday regardless of who wins. The Blackhawks will have home-ice advantage if Los Angeles advances, and will open on the road if top-seeded Anaheim moves on. "Theyre both physical. They both got a lot of skill," forward Brandon Saad said. "Theres a lot of similarities in a lot of teams in the NHL these days, play that tight checking game. Were not going to prepare for anyone yet obviously. We dont know who were playing. Were looking forward to see how Friday goes." ___ Jay Cohen can be reached at http://www.twitter.com/jcohenap Connor Barwin Jersey . -- During Kansas shootaround on Wednesday before the Jayhawks faced Oklahoma, coach Bill Self told Wayne Selden Jr. Jack Youngblood Jersey . Colorado came up big against Chicago last spring, and repeated that performance Tuesday night. Same for Duncan Keith and the bulk of Chicagos solid defence. There is even a group of intriguing prospects waiting in the wings. The Blackhawks are one confident bunch of the eve of a new NHL season. We feel were deep in a lot of areas, coach Joel Quenneville said. Our guys are at a relatively young age and they should be getting better in their individual games and collectively we should be looking to be better than we were. And they have been really good for years.Led by Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane, the Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup in 2010 and again in 2013. They made it all the way to the Western Conference final a year ago, where they dropped a classic seven-game series to the eventual champion Los Angeles Kings. The price of that success reached a new level in July, when Toews and Kane each finalized an $84 million, eight-year contract extension that kicks in for the 2015-16 season. The twin deals could force general manager Stan Bowman to make some difficult decisions down the road, adding to the pressure on the current group of Blackhawks for this year.Bowman still has to make at least one more move to pare about $2 million from this years payroll before the Oct. 9 season opener at Dallas.Even with the sticky salary-cap situation, the Blackhawks did manage to sign veteran Brad Richards to a $2 million, one-year contract over the summer. The team is hoping Richards can centre the second line a€” a longtime issue for Chicago a€” and the combination of Richards, Kane and Brandon Saad looked good in the preseason. Here are other things to watch this year for the Blackhawks:THAT THIRD LINE: The top two lines should be among the best in the league, but its the third line that really could separate the Blackhawks from the rest of the NHL. Bryan Bickell was noticeably lighter when he showed up to training camp this year. The bruising winger is hoping for a better start than last season, when he had just one assist in his first seven games and finished with 11 goals and four assists for the year. Kris Versteeg also looked sharp in the preseason, and pesky centre Andrew Shaw set career highs with 20 goals and 19 assists last season. Versteeg prepared himsself for this year to get back on track where hes a top forward, Quenneville said. Greg Zuerlein Jersey. Hes been good for us.THAT POWER PLAY: Chicago converted 19.5 per cent of its power-play opportunities last season, an improvement from 16.7 per cent for the shortened 2012-13 campaign and good enough for 10th in the NHL. New assistant coach Kevin Dineen, who played with Quenneville on the Hartford Whalers and was hired to replace Jamie Kompon in July, is expected to play a prominent role in this years power play. Richards also could help the efficiency of the unit, where any increase in scoring for the already potent Blackhawks could pay huge dividends.FORK IN THE ROAD: Its a pivotal year for defenceman Nick Leddy, who begins the season with 258 regular-season games and another 54 post-season appearances a€” at just 23 years old. Leddy is one of the fastest skating defencemen on the team, but hes also an occasional visitor to Quennevilles doghouse. He was benched for a playoff game last season against Minnesota. The Kings winning goal in Game 7 in June went off Leddys upper body and then past goaltender Corey Crawford. Leddy could blossom into one of the teams top defencemen, or the Blackhawks could decide to trade him away for salary-cap space.BOSS HOSS: Marian Hossa shows no signs of slowing down heading into his 17th NHL season. The rugged winger had 30 goals and 30 assists in 72 games last season, in addition to his terrific defence. But Hossa missed a couple weeks in March with an upper-body injury and turns 36 in January. Any significant injury for the forward could hurt the Blackhawks in the competitive Central Division.ANTTI MATTERS: Backup goaltender Antti Raanta is heading into his first full NHL season. He made his debut last November and went 13-5 with a 2.71 goals-against average in 25 games, including 22 starts. Raanta played sparingly in the last part of the season, and Crawford figures to get the lions share of the action once again. How Quenneville divides the time in goal will provide an indication of how he feels about the 25-year-old Raantas development.___AP freelancer Matt Carlson contributed to this report.___Jay Cohen can be reached at http://www.twitter.com/jcohenap Wholesale Nike NFL Jerseys Disocunt Football Jerseys White NFL Jerseys Cheap Discount Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys 2020 Wholesale NFL T-shirts NFL Jerseys China ' ' '

SOCHI, Russia -- Russian security officials are hunting down three potential female suicide bombers, one of whom is believed to be in Sochi, where the Winter Olympics will begin next month. James Rodriguez Jersey . Police leaflets seen by an Associated Press reporter at a central Sochi hotel on Tuesday contain warnings about three potential suicide bombers. A police letter said that one of them, Ruzanna Ibragimova, a 22-year-old widow of an Islamic militant, was at large in Sochi. A U.S. congressman who was in Sochi on Tuesday to assess the situation said he was impressed by the work of Russian security forces but troubled that potential suicide bombers had gotten into the city, despite all of the extraordinary security measures. "We know some of them got through the perimeter," Rep. Michael McCaul, chairman of the U.S. House Homeland Security Committee, told The Associated Press. "Shes for real. What we dont know is how many more black widows are out there." Russian authorities have blamed the so-called "black widows" of slain insurgents for previous suicide attacks in the country. The Black Sea resort town will host the games amid concerns about security and potential terrorist attacks. The southern city of Volgograd was rocked by two suicide bombings in late December, which killed 34 and injured scores more. An Islamic militant group in Dagestan posted a video on Sunday claiming responsibility for the bombings and threatened to strike the games in Sochi, about 500 kilometres (300 miles) west of Dagestan. McCaul, a Republican from Texas, said he had numerous meetings with officials in Moscow and Sochi, and was briefed by the joint operation centre in Sochi, which is responsible for overall security in the area. "The one improvement I would ask of the Russians is to allow our intelligence services to co-ordinate and co-operate better with theirs," McCaul said. Although the Russian side was confident that it could provide security, the U.S. has information that could help keep the games safe, he said. The congressman also expressed concern that terrorists could have gotten into Sochi before security was tightened. "How many potential cells could be in Sochi and the Olympic village?" he said. "But after the ring of steel was implemented we have this one person who seems to have been able to penetrate it. It does demonstrate vulnerability." Police material distributed to the hotel staff included pictures of two other women in veils: 26-year-old Zaira Aliyeva and 34-year-old Dzhannet Tsakhayeva. It said they had been trained "to perpetrate acts of terrorism." It warned that the two women "are probably among us," but, unlike Ibragimovas case, did not say if they are in Sochi. No further information was provided about the two women or their motivation. The term "black widow" refers to the belief that women who have carried out past suicide attacks in Russia did so to avenge the deaths of husbands or other male relatives. Security officials in Sochi were not available for comment on Tuesday. The Olympics are to be held Feb. 7-23. Russia has mounted an intense security operation in the city, but concern persists that "soft targets" outside the Olympic venues, such as buses and tourist facilities, are vulnerable to attack. Russian troops also have been active fighting militants in Dagestan, one of the predominantly Muslim republics in Russias North Caucasus and the centre of an Islamic insurgency that has engulfed the region. On Tuesday, troops shot dead the leader of a militant group, Interior Ministry spokeswoman Fatina Ubaidatova said. She said the militant, Eldar Magatov, was wanted in attacks on security forces, bombings and the extortion of businessmen. Interior Ministry troops elsewhere in Dagestan defused an explosive device placed near a village administration building and engaged in a firefight with militants holed up in a house, the spokeswoman said. Commissioner Adam Silver will have a 2 p.m. ET press conference Tuesday afternoon, where its expected he will make some announcement about Sterlings punishment. The team has taken the high road to this point, allowing head coach Doc Rivers to speak on the teams behalf. "We are all trying to figure out everything as it goes and just do our best and we hope that it is the right answer," Rivers said in a statement. "Im still going to do my best and do what I think is best for the team and for everybody in this case. It is very difficult because there are so many emotions in this. This is a very emotional subject, this is personal." The Clippers players staged a silent protest prior to tip-off Sunday by wearing their pregame shirts inside-out with the teams logo out of sight. They wore black arm or wrist bands and black socks but appeared stuck in warmup mode when the game got underway. The Warriors blew out the Clippers in Sundays Game 4, 118-97. "Its my job as a coach to get them ready and I just didnt feel like I did the right stuff," said Rivers. "I gotta do a better job. Whatever the distractions, whatever, I gotta do a better job. I didnt do my job tonight. I take that personally." Stephen Curry jumped out to a fast start in Game 4 and thhe Warriors shot 55 percent from the field in rolling to the win. Camilo Vargas Jersey. Curry finished with 33 points, seven assists and seven rebounds, while Andre Iguodala netted 22 points for the Warriors, who had dropped back-to-back games after stealing the opener in LA. Klay Thompson, David Lee and Harrison Barnes all finished with 15 points. Curry raced out with 17 points in the first 8:30, hitting all five of his 3- point attempts as the Warriors opened a 20-point lead in the first quarter. "We tried to come out with a sense of urgency. Thats been a big problem in the first three games," said Curry. "As a team we havent started games off well and theyve gotten a double-digit lead each first quarter. So we moved the ball well, guys set great screens and we executed at a higher pace. When we do that, were tough to guard." Warriors head coach Mark Jackson inserted Draymond Green into the starting lineup in place of Jermaine ONeal. Green only finished with four points, but Golden State got the victory. The Clippers pulled within nine in the fourth but did not climb out of the mammoth hole. Jamal Crawford and Blake Griffin led the club with 26 and 21 points, respectively. Chris Paul finished with 16 points, followed by 12 from J.J. Redick and 10 out of Matt Barnes. By Tuesdays tip, the Clippers should know the fate of Sterling and hopefully will get closer to closure. Either way, the series must go on. "I just believe when the game starts, the game starts and nobody cares anymore," Rivers said following the loss. "Golden State surely didnt care." Game 6 will be Thursday night back at Oracle Arena. TORONTO -- Wins continue to elude Drew Hutchison. [url=http://www.seahawksfansprostore.com/Black-Paul-Richardson-Seahawks-Jersey

TORONTO -- Wins continue to elude Drew Hutchison. Paul Richardson Jersey . Hank Conger homered and drove in a career-high five runs to power the Los Angeles Angels to a 9-3 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays on Sunday afternoon. Hutchison (1-3) gave up three runs and four walks over just 4 1/3 innings to extend his winless streak to seven starts. "You cant walk four guys," Hutchison said afterwards. Unfortunately, rookie reliever Marcus Stroman also struggled. He was pounded for four runs over 1 2/3 innings after replacing Hutchison as Los Angeles earned its third straight win. Toronto came into this four-game series riding a season-high, five-game win streak. "Thats the way it goes in this business sometimes," Toronto manager John Gibbons said. "You think everything is going in the right direction, then all of a sudden, wham, you run into some pretty good pitching and a good offence. "Theyre just out-playing us. But, a well-pitched game can cure all that." Toronto (18-20) will send ace Mark Buehrle (6-1, 1.91 earned-run average) to the mound in the series finale Monday night. The Angels (19-17) will counter with left-hander C.J. Wilson (4-2, 3.21 ERA). On Sunday, Los Angeles feasted on Toronto pitching, with Conger registering three hits before a Rogers Centre gathering of 20,871. But it was a two-out walk to Howie Kendrick in the fourth that was the start of Hutchisons undoing. It was followed by two doubles-- L.A.s first hits of the day -- as the Angels scored twice for a 2-1 advantage and stayed ahead the rest of the way. "I was ahead and I didnt put him away," Hutchison said of Kendricks at-bat. "It was not a good job on my part." The Angels ended Hutchisons afternoon in the fifth. Collin Cowgill, the No. 9 hitter, led off with a walk and went to third on a sharp single by Erick Aybar. That chased Hutchison and Cowgill scored on Mike Trouts double off Stroman. L.A. blew it open in the sixth, sending eight men to the plate and scoring four runs off Stroman for a 7-1 lead. The big blast came from Conger, who belted a 93 mile-per-hour fastball over the right centre-field wall for a three-run shot. Meanwhile, Angels veteran right-hander Jered Weaver (4-2) surrendered a run in the first but nothing more over 6-1/3 innings to win his fourth straight decision. "Jered did a good job mixing his pitches up," said Toronto second baseman Steve Tolleson. "He never really threw the same pitch two times in a row and he would take something off his fast ball, add something to his curve, take something off his changeup. "He was good out there." Toronto threatened in the seventh, loading the bases and chasing Weaver with one out. But right-handed reliever Michael Kohn got Colby Rasmus to pop out behind second before Tolleson struck out looking. Edwin Encarnacion pulled Toronto to within 7-3 with a two-run double in the eighth but L.A. countered with two in the ninth. Toronto slugger Jose Bautista entered Sundays game having reached base safely in all 37 games this season to lead the majors. But that club record was snapped Sunday as Bautista went 0 for 4 with an RBI. Toronto opened the scoring in the first. Jose Reyes led off with a sharp single to left, then stole second on the next pitch. With one out, Reyes got a great jump off Weaver as Bautista cued one off the end of his bat to second. As Kendrick scooped up the ground ball and tossed it to first, Reyes broke from third and slid head-first ahead of first baseman Albert Pujols throw. L.A. took the lead in the fourth, combining a walk and their first two hits of the day, all with two out. Efren Navarro doubled into the left-field corner to score Kendrick, who walked, stole second and advanced to third on catcher Dioner Navarros throwing error. One pitch later, Conger doubled to bring in Navarro with the go-ahead run. After the game when Gibbons said reliever Sergio Santos was headed to the 15-day disabled list with forearm stiffness. The Jays will announce Monday wholl take his spot on the roster. NOTES -- Toronto closer Casey Janssen (left abdominal/lower back strain) returned from the 15-day disabled list prior to Sundays game. To make room on the 25-man roster, infielder Chris Getz was designated for assignment . . . Tolleson, who signed as a free agent this off-season, came into Sundays game batting .429 with all six of his hits with Toronto having gone for extra bases -- four doubles, two triples. That made him the first player since Chris Dickerson with Cincinnati in 08 to do that with his new team. Cortez Kennedy Jersey . Mako Vunipola was promoted from the reserves, with Matt Mullan called up to the bench on Thursday. "It is important that Joe is with his partner at this exciting time," England coach Stuart Lancaster said. Amara Darboh Jersey . - Andre Drummond had his best night on the boards. http://www.seahawksfansprostore.com/Black-Tre-Madden-Seahawks-Jersey.html?cat=1018 . -- The Denver Broncos locked up a shutdown cornerback, only his name wasnt Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie.What is going on with our starting quarterbacks? Over the last two weeks, four starters have gone down, and two are probably lost for the season. Two weeks ago, the Lions lost Travis Lulay in Ottawa when he suffered the fourth injury of his career on the same shoulder late in the game. In the Banjo Bowl between Saskatchewan and Winnipeg, the Riders Darian Durant took a legal hit from Bryant Turner and is gone for the season with an elbow injury. A week later, Drew Willy of the Bombers was running the ball and he was rolled on by a Lions D-linmen when tackled and suffered a shoulder injury, the severity of which has not yet been released by the Bombers. And finally in Calgary, Bo Levi Mitchell was hit by Shea Emry and has ankle and knee injuries, and according to the latest reports, will be week-to-week. Four starters, four stars gone and in the case of two of them, likely for the season. Now the question is, are all these injuries to star quarterbacks just a case of bad luck/coincidence or is there a reason for them? There is no question that defences are winning this year and the strength of the defences has been the front sevens which has to be factored in to the QB injury discussion. However, Lulay has a history of the shoulder issues, and was involved in a strange play where the ball slipped out of his hand as he was trying to throw. When he scrambled to recover the fumble, the shoulder buckled again. Durant was in the act of throwing when he was hit, and like Lulay, it was a strange play but for a different reason. On Durants injury, the official tried to blow the play dead but no one heard it and the play continued. More on that later. Drew Willy was injured in BC when he was tackled trying to run the ball, which is a very different situation to that of Lulay or Durant, but similar to how Mitchell was hurt. Mitchell was scrambling for a first down and was trying to go down in a crouch position when he was hit by Shea Emry. Two QBs hit in the act of trying to throw, and two in the act of running, which means there is no specific trend or reason that connects all four. Lulay and Durant were situations that could happen on any passing play; they were vulnerable in the pocket, got hit legally and were injured. It happens. However, Willy and Mitchell are injuries that could have been avoided. It is certainly not the quarterbacks fault, because they are caught in the middle between being tough, team-first guys that will do anyything for the first down, and being smart and picking up what they can and then protecting themselves. DeShawn Shead Jersey. Everyone admires and raves about the QB that puts it all on the line for the first down, but what is the cost? Coaches have said that they cant take the fight in the dog out of their leaders who want to do what ever it takes, but maybe its time they try and tame that dog just a bit. The quarterback is the player that gives the entire team hope; if he isnt capable, hope is lost. Now all wins are important, and football players are wired to give it all on every play but if Calgary or Winnipeg dont get the first down in Week 10 of the regular season, are their seasons lost? Obviously not, the franchise players are taking too many risks in the game today. Maybe its time that coaches start saying to their star QBs run if you want but NEVER take a hit you dont have to take! Lets be clear, this is not a critique on Willy or Mitchell. Everyone admires their courage and leadership abilities, but the risk when a quarterback elects to take a hit rather than hook slide for an extra yard or two outweighs the reward in the regular season. Coaches hold players out of the lineup when they are injured and begging to go back before they are ready. Its time those same coaches start instructing their franchise players to avoid taking unnecessary hits! Now to the Durant hit. According to the head of officials Glen Johnson, the correct protocol was carried out by the crew in the Banjo Bowl. One ref tried to blow the play dead by blasting his whistle four times. However no one, including the other officials on the field and all 24 players, heard it due to the unbelievable crowd noise in Winnipegs new Investors Group Field. Johnson has since reminded all the officials to be as animated as they can when trying to stop the play once the ball has been snapped and to make sure that one officials whistle is backed up by the rest of the crew. However, there will be no discipline handed out to any of the officiating crew because there was really no mistake made, which is the right decision. Also, good for Riders offensive guard Dan Clark who was beat on the play but didnt try to use the whistle issue as an excuse. Right after the game in front of a sea of cameras and microphones, he said he didnt hear any whistle and he just got beat. That couldnt have been easy when an excuse was on the tee for him. That is a sign of true character. Wholesale Nike NFL Jerseys Disocunt Football Jerseys White NFL Jerseys Cheap Discount Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys 2020 Wholesale NFL T-shirts NFL Jerseys China ' ' '

MINNEAPOLIS - The Minnesota Timberwolves have waived Ukrainian centre Kyrylo Fesenko. Chris Neil Jersey .The Timberwolves announced the move on Monday. Fesenko played in one preseason game and only managed three minutes. He was hoping to earn a spot with the Wolves or another team so he could bring his family over to the United States from Ukraine, where the government has been clashing with pro-Russian separatists for months. The 7-foot-1 Fesenko averaged 8.4 points and 5.2 rebounds with the Timberwolves in summer league play. But the Wolves already have Nikola Pekovic, Gorgui Dieng and Ronny Turiaf in the post, which left no room for Fesenko. Jason Spezza Jersey . The Philadelphia left fielder clubbed a tiebreaking, solo home run in the seventh inning, and the Phillies edged the Red Sox, 2-1, in the middle test of a three-game interleague series at Citizens Bank Park. Alexandre Burrows Jersey . Indeed, must be among the greatest challenges in all of sports. Rodriguez scored one of the best goals of the tournament and added a second to put Colombia into the World Cup quarterfinals for the first time with a 2-0 win over Uruguay on Saturday -- setting up a meeting with the host nation. Rodriguez added to his growing list memorable moments in Brazil when he gave his team the lead with a long-range volley as he turned in the 28th minute. He scored the second from close range shortly after the break as Colombia dominated an Uruguay side that sorely missed banned striker Luis Suarez. "I think now the toughest is coming up," Rodriguez said of the quarterfinal match against Brazil. "Im happy because we are making history and as a young man I dreamed of being here. And of course we want to do even more." Rodriguez now has a tournament-leading five goals in Brazil and further enhanced his status as perhaps the World Cups biggest revelation. In the absence of injured star Radamel Falcao, the Monaco winger has become the focal point of a Colombia team that won all three of its group games with impressive attacking play. Uruguay, meanwhile, simply couldnt find anyone to fill the absence of Suarez. The team struggled badly in attack and replacement striker Diego Forlan was substituted in the 53rd after a disappointing performance in what was likely his final World Cup appearance. Colombia is playing its first World Cup since 1998 and has already achieved its best-ever result. "Congratulations to all the Colombian people," said coach Jose Pekerman, who is from Argentina. "The people in Colombia deserve this." Colombia will play Brazil in the quarterfinals on July 4 in Fortaleza after the host nation beat Chile in a penalty shootout earlier Saturday. But Rodriguez showed once again that the Brazilians have every reason to be wary of Colombia. The opener was his most spectacular goal yet. He chested the ball down with his back to goal well outside the area and in one fluid motion turned around and fired a left-foot volley that went off the underside of the crossbar and into the net. It was a goal that came seemingly out of nowhere and provided another example of the technique and creativity that has madee Rodriguez one of the standout players of the tournament. Thomas Chabot Jersey. Uruguay defender Alvaro Pereira tried to clear the ball with a diving header, but it went straight to Abel Aguilar, who headed it forward toward Rodriguez. His manoeuvr only took a split second and left goalkeeper Fernando Muslera flailing helplessly as the ball looped over him and into the net. Rodriguez ran over the corner flag and thrust both hands out to his sides in a "how about that" gesture. "I think he is the best player of the tournament so far," Uruguay coach Oscar Tabarez said. Rodriguezs second was a perfectly executed team move as Colombia worked the ball over from the right flank to the left, where Pablo Armero sent in a cross that was met by Juan Cuadrado at the far post. Cuadrado headed back across goal toward Rodriguez, who slotted in from just a few yards (meters) out. This time, the entire team ran over the corner flag for a celebratory dance. Tabarez tried to respond with a double substitution, taking off Forlan and Alvaro Pereira for Gaston Ramirez and Cristhian Stuani. That livened up the attack, with goalkeeper David Ospina having to make good saves from Cristhian Rodriguez and Maxi Pereira before diving to push away a shot from Edinson Cavani in the 84th. But in the end Uruguay simply couldnt cope without Suarez, who was banned for four months for biting an opponent in the group-stage victory against Italy that sent the team through to the next round. Suarez also missed Uruguays first game of the tournament, a 3-1 loss to Costa Rica, before scoring both goals in a 2-1 win over England. "We all knew what happened, but we had to forget about it and think positive," Tabarez said. "Suarez is a great player, and I dont need to say it. He is very important. But we knew he wasnt going to play." ------ Lineups: Colombia: David Ospina; Cristian Zapata, Mario Yepes, Pablo Armero, Juan Zuniga; Carlos Sanchez Abel Aguilar, Juan Cuadrado (Fredy Guarin, 81), James Rodriguez (Adrian Ramos, 85); Teofilo Gutierrez (Alexander Mejia, 6, Jackson Martinez. Uruguay: Fernando Muslera; Diego Godin, Alvaro Pereira (Cristhian Stuani, 53), Cristian Rodriguez, Martin Caceres; Jose Gimenez, Maxi Pereira, Egidio Arevalo, Alvaro Gonzalez (Abel Hernandez, 67); Edinson Cavani, Diego Forlan (Gaston Ramirez, 53). The Edmonton Oilers picked up veteran scoring winger Teddy Purcell, sending Sam Gagner to Tampa Bay, who then flipped Gagner to Arizona in a move to clear cap space. Noah Vonleh Jersey . Numbers Game breaks down the pieces involved in these two deals. The Oilers Get: RW Teddy Purcell. Purcell, 28, is a skilled winger with good size, though he doesnt always use that size to his maximum advantage. Hes missed a total of three games over the past four seasons and his 194 points over that time ranks 57th in the league. Hes a productive player. A fine complement to other skilled forwards, Purcell has posted strong relative posession stats, enough that hes a solid fit as a second-line winger. How that fits with the current Oilers roster is an interesting question, at the very least. With Taylor Hall, Jordan Eberle, David Perron and Nail Yakupov on board, adding Purcell to the mix does give the Oilers plenty of scoring wingers, though they are now looking at a presumed hole at second-line centre, unless the Oilers are already projecting third overall pick Leon Draisaitl into that spot. Purcell has two years remaining on a contract that comes with a $4.5-million cap hit; no bargain, but not unreasonable for a top-six forward. The Coyotes Get: C Sam Gagner and RW B.J. Crombeen. Gagner is a 24-year-old who has never surpassed the 49 points that he scored as a rookie, but is also the second-leading scorer from the 2007 Draft class, behind only first overall pick Patrick Kane. Its certainly possible that Gagner can recover his game, because hes still relatively young, but hes been a possession disaster over the past couple seasons and at least part of that reflects his defensive shortcomings. Where this fits for Arizona is that they have two-way centres that can effectively protect Gagner. With Martin Hanzal and Antoine Vermette available to face tougher match-ups, Gagner can be utilized in a role that focuses on offensive production. Since the Coyotes just bought out Mike Ribeiro, its conceivable that Gagner could take over those minutes and Ribeiro started a higher percentage of his shifts in the offensive zone (minimum 40 games played) than anyone in the league last season. If the Coyotes are going to maximize Gagners production, they could also give him that offensive role and add a free agent winger to further upgrade their skill level. Former Oilers RW Ales Hemsky is a free agent, but Jussi Jokinen, Matt Moulson and Mike Cammalleri are other options that could have some appeal. Gagner has two years left on his contract, at a cap hit of $4.8-million, and will get $5-million per season in actual salary, with the Lightning retaining one-third the cost as part of the trade. More on that in a moment. Crombeen is a 28-year-old winger who has has 90 fights and 49 points in 265 games over the past six-plus seasons. Hes generally a subpar possession player, but not so much so that he cant handle a regular shift on the fourth line. Heading into the final year of his contract, Crombeen brings a cap hit of $1.15-million, and gives the Coyotes an enforcer that they can keep in the lineup on at least a semi-regular basis. The Lightning Get: A sixth-round pick in 2015. In the immediate aftermath of the Gagner-for-Purcell swap, the Lightning Tweeted that Gagner was going to be bought-out, which makes sense considering the Lightnings decision to retain salary as part of the deal with Arizona. Since Gagner is under 26-years-old, a buyout would cost one-third the value of his contract, so the Coyotes jumped in, before Gagner hit the open market, and by taking on Crombeens salary, gave the Lightning a little increased financial flexibility as they prepare for free agency on July 1. With more room to maneuver under the cap, the Lightning could go in a couple directions. They could go after a scoring winger -- Jarome Iginla, Thomas Vanek and Mike Cammalleri are some options -- a veteran to complement a young and promising group of Tampa Bay forwards, or they could spend that money on defence. Former Lightning D Dan Boyle could be one target, but Christian Ehrhoff, Mark Fayne, Anton Stralman and Matt Niskanen are among the more prized blueliners about to hit free agency. A sixth-round pick brings with it about a 15% chance of yielding an NHL player, so not great value, but a token price for taking on Crombeens contract. In a separate deal, the Lightning also moved Nate Thompson to Anaheim, acquiring fourth and seventh-round picks in 2015. The picks bring a little less than a 30% chance of an NHL player, but the Lightning clear Thompsons $1.6-million per season for the next three years off the books. Essentially the Oilers, and especially the Lightning look like they are making moves to set up something else, other moves to make this offseason, while the Coyotes took advantage of an opportunity and filled a hole in their lineup at a very reasonable cost. Scott Cullen can be reached at Scott.Cullen@bellmedia.ca and followed on Twitter at http://twitter.com/tsnscottcullen. For more, check out TSN Fantasy on Facebook. Jusuf Nurkic Jersey . Less than 24 hours later, in the same arena, he tried to recreate the magic of his all-time favourite player. Hilliard scored a career-high 26 points and No. Caleb Swanigan Jersey . There is no argument that the line of Pacioretty, David Desharnais and Thomas Vanek was one of the hottest in the NHL leading into the post-season, and they did combine for three goals and seven points, but it was the depth of all four lines that helped propel Montreal. http://www.blazersteamofficial.com/Brandon-Roy-Blazers-Jersey/ .J. -- Omar Cummings helped the Houston Dynamo advance to the MLS Eastern Conference finals.METAIRIE, La. - New Orleans Saints general manager Mickey Loomis says the club has agreed to the terms of a one-year contract with quarterback Luke McCown, who was Drew Brees backup last season, as well as the holder on field goals. McCown, whose re-signing was announced on Wednesday, is entering his 11th NFL season out of Louisiana Tech. McCown has played in 38 regular season games in hiss career, including nine starts, and has completed 184 of 317 passes for 2,035 yards, nine touchdowns and 14 interceptions. Shabazz Napier Jersey. (SportsNetwork. Solomon Hill Jersey .com) - The Toronto Blue Jays came into their series with Boston hoping to get their playoff push back on track. Instead, the Jays will be trying to avoid a three-game sweep at the hands of the Red Sox in Wednesday nights finale. The Blue Jays had won 10 of their 13 meetings with the Red Sox this year coming into the set, but have dropped back-to-back extra-inning contests. Toronto has played four straight extra-inning games, going 1-3. Jose Bautista homered for the Jays on Tuesday to join Carlos Delgado and Joe Carter as the only players in club history to have at least five straight 25- homer seasons, but the effort went to waste as Boston plated seven runs in the 11th inning to claim an 11-7 decision. Casey Janssen (3-2) was charged with four runs -- three earned -- on two hits over his inning-plus relief stint. "This was tough," he said. "We lost another tough game in extra innings." Mike Napoli hit a three-run homer in the deciding frame and Allen Craig added a two-run shot in the 11th, big homers given that the Jays scored three runs in the bottom of the frame. "The ability to score multiple runs was key for us, to give us some breathing room," Red Sox manager John Farrell said. "Nap with the huge swing on a three- run homer, good to see Allen drive the ball out the other way, and we executed the small things." Boston has won consecutive games for the first time since a four-game win streak from Aug. 10-14, further putting its recent eight-game slide in the rearview mirror. Still looking for his first victory since joining the Red Sox, Joe Kelly takes the hill tonight. Kelly has gone 0-1 with a 4.09 earned run average in four starts since being acquired from St. Louis. He logged five innings of one-hit ball on Friday versus Seattle, walking three and striking out five in a no-decision as he exited after tweaking his shoulder. The 26-year-old righty has never faced the Blue Jays, who counter with rookie Marcus Stroman. The 23-year-old may be hitting a rookie wall since beating the Red Sox in back-to-back outings on July 24 and 29. He gave up one earned run and fanned 15 over 14 innings, lowering his season ERA to 3.03. However, that ERA has risen to 4.11 as he has gone 0-3 over his last four starts while getting charged with five earned runs in all three setbacks. The right-handed Stroman is coming off an 8-0 setback to Tampa Bay on Friday, charged with six runs -- five earned -- on 10 hits and three walks over five frames. That dropped him to 7-5 on the year. It was the latest in a series of head injuries at the World Cup that raised questions about the sideline medical checks. Kramer continued playing for 14 minutes in the first half of the final at Maracana Stadium after taking a heavy blow to the face in a collision with Argentina defender Ezequiel Garay. He was eventually replaced in the 31st minute after slumping to the ground, and the German football federation said he had a suspected concussion. It didnt give any more details. Kramer appeared to be disorientated as he was helped off the field by medical staff. In his absence, Germany went on to beat Argentina 1-0 in extra time to lift the World Cup. "I cant remember very much but it doesnt matter now," he said, shrugging off the injury. "I have to send regards to my grandmother. She has a birthday today and I couldnt reach her." There were worrying head injuries for players earlier in the tournament. Argentina players Javier Mascherano and Pablo Zabaleta also played on in their teams semifinal against the Netherlands in Sao Paulo after hard knocks to the head. Mascherano appeared to be completely disorientated and fell to the ground after a clash of heads with a Dutch player. Both Mascheerano and Zabaleta started in the final. New Orleans Pelicans Jerseys. Questions about FIFAs concussion protocol were initially raised in the group stage of the World Cup when Uruguay defender Alvaro Pereira refused to leave the field after being hit in the head by an England opponents knee. Pereira lay motionless for a short while and appeared to be briefly unconscious, but was still allowed to come back onto the field and continue playing. Uruguay team doctor Alberto Pan initially made hand signals for a substitution but then seemingly changed his mind after the clearly dizzy player furiously protested. The images provoked criticism from professional players union FIFPro, head injury specialists and others. Pereira later said the blow knocked him out and "was like the lights went out." "I was also not happy with that situation. I must confess that," said Michel DHooghe, a member of the FIFA executive board and chairman of its medical committee. The incidents have led to debate over whether FIFA should allow a temporary substitution so a player can get a head injury properly checked. Top-level rugby, for example, allows players who are suspected of having concussion to leave the field and be looked over by a doctor, and temporarily replaced with someone off the bench. FIFA medical chief DHooghe told The AP earlier in the tournament that he doesnt oppose the idea. He wasnt able to lead the International team to a victory, but Graham DeLaet leaves his first Presidents Cup having gained a lot of respect and plenty of praise. Terron Armstead Jersey . Thats especially true after winding up his Sunday in dramatic fashion by holing his final shots on 18 in both his matches. Its not as if Canadians werent aware of DeLaets talent; after all, hes been the top Canuck for a few years now. You knew hed become mainstream in his home country when you stopped hearing "De-Lay." Hard-core golf fans elsewhere have also known about his remarkable ball-striking and accuracy off the tee, evident just by looking at his name at the top of so many statistical categories. They also watched as he performed well in the FedEx Cup playoffs, his beard lengthening each week. But its fair to say that this event will be DeLaets coming out party to the rest of the golf world. TV announcers have been singing his praises all week with Golf Channels Brandel Chamblee calling him the best ball-striker in the world right now. Johnny Miller was positively gushing at his talents and even Jack Nicklaus gave a nod to the Canadian. "I thought he played great," said the Golden Bear. "I talked to him on the first tee today and I said to him, Graham, the way youve played this week, I think this will mean an awful lot to your career." Hes also gained the respect of both captains here this week. "Hes fun to watch," said Fred Couples. "He hits it a long way, he putts well. You know, hes just a very good player." "Hes a hell of a player," said Nick Price. "I think Canada has a lot to look forward to the next 10 or 12 years or so, watching him play, because hed definitely major championship material." The enthusiasm he displayed all week was positively effervescent. On Thursday when his partner Jason Day rolled in a winning putt, DeLaet almost took Days arm off with the high five. When his putt dropped on Sunday morning in the match against Phil Mickelson and Keegan Bradley he reacted as if hed just scored in overtime to win the Stanley Cup. He managed to do it again in his singles match against Jordan Spieth, this time holing it from the bunker to win his match 1-up. "I executed them both well, but theres some luck involved as well," he admitted. "I mean, its super exciting to finish like that; to win the match here and then to halve the match this morning, it makes it even better." In addition to all the attention, its clear to see DeLaet gained a bushel full of confidence playing this Presidents Cup. Not that he was short on self-belief, but matching games with the best Americans and being one of the top point producers on the International team can only help when he returns to action on the PGA Tour in a few weeks in Las Vegas. "I definitely believe that deep inside, I feel a little more confidence in myself now," admitted DeLaet. "These are the best players in the world and this American team is just loaded with talent. To be able to come in here and play well against them means a lot." While the individual performance was tremendous, DeLaet admitted to disappointment at not being able to help his team break the long drought in the competition. Despite a record of 3-1-1 for the Canadian, once again, the Internationals were humbled by the Yanks, losing 18.5 to 15.5. "Thats the thing. Were here as a team to try and win this thing as a team and its great to play well, but its going to be tough going into that locker room and seeing all those guys," said DeLaet. "I mean, Im sure well have a couple of drinks tonight and just celebrate the friendships and everything that weve made." Its quite clear that when DeLaet leaves that locker room and the Presidents Cup and Muirfield Village, hell do so as a different player. Things wont be the same any more. Following a lengthy rain delay, Canadian Milos Raonic is back on court at Wimbledon, where hes facing Lukasz Kubot of Poland. Mike Wallace Jersey . You can watch the action live NOW on TSN2 and TSN GO. Raonic has yet to drop a set at the 2014 grass tournament. After defeating Matthew Ebden 6-2, 6-2, 6-4 in the first round, the Thornhill native defeated American Jack Sock 6-3, 6-4, 6-4 to advance past the second round. Raonic is playing in the third round at the All England Club for the first time in his career. He was defeated in the second round each of his first three trips. Raonics best career finish at a major came earlier this month, when he advanced to the quarter-finals at the French Open. CROMWELL, Conn. -- Brendan Steele shot an 8-under 62 in the morning session to take a one-stroke lead after the first round of the Travelers Championship. The 31-year-old Californian opened with an eagle, holing a 129-yard wedge shot in the rain. He birdied six of the next 12 holes at TPC River Highlands, and closed the bogey-free round with five straight pars. Steele finished two shots off the course record set by Patrick Cantlay in 2011 as an amateur. "On 14, I started to think 59, which is probably why I slowed down a little bit," Steele said. Bud Cauley and Ryan Moore shot 63, and Chad Campbell, Joe Durant, Scott Langley, Eric Axley and Jeff Maggert followed at 64. Former Stanford stars Patrick Rodgers and Cameron Wilson made their pro debuts, with Rodgers shooting a 66, and Wilson a 73. Rodgers won 11 college tournaments and this years Ben Hogan and Jack Nicklaus awards as the nations top college player. Wilson won the NCAA individual title. Two-time heart transplant recipient Erik Compton, coming off a second-place tie in the U.S. Open, shot a 74. Steele and Cauley went out in a steady rain Thursday morning, but by noon the sun had broken through. "It took the rain pretty well," said Masters champion Bubba Watson, who shot a 67 and was among 75 players to break par. "Its kind of soft, but not too windy, so you can score around it." But nobody could catch Steele, who is shooting for his third top-10 finish this season after failing to qualify for the U.S. Open. He instead watched from the stands as his favourite hockey team, the Los Angeles Kings, woon the Stanley Cup. Michael Pierce Jersey. . Steele changed putters during the second round of U.S. Open qualifying and said that decision to go from long to short has been paying off. He needed just 26 putts Thursday. "Speed control is a lot better," he said. Cauley started on the back nine and got his round going on the signature 15th hole. He avoided the woods on the right and put his tee shot within 20 feet, then made the eagle putt. "With that pin back right, if you hit it right, thats obviously not where you want to be, and obviously theres water left," he said. "So I hit that right where I was trying to and rolled it up there and capitalized with the putt." Campbell was at 7 under until he hit it into the water on the same hole. Moore, who has four top-10 finishes in eight starts at this tournament, credited his 63 to a decision not to practice after a poor round in the pro-am Wednesday. "I was relaxed and comfortable and just went out and played golf today instead of overdoing it and over-thinking it, which I feel like Ive maybe done a little lately," Moore said. "Ive been practicing too much." Trevor Immelman had the shot of the day, making a double eagle from 246 yards on the par-5 13th hole. He used a 3-wood and cleared a green-side water hazard. "The main thing is to keep it dry," he said. "You got to get it over there, and it came out pretty good and started rolling." Immelman also had three bogeys in his round of 68. Defending champion Ken Duke opened with a 65. Louis Oosthuizen withdrew after seven holes because of back issues. ATHENS, Ga. Al-Farouq Aminu Jersey . -- Michael Phelps surged to the wall and quickly searched for the scoreboard. He liked what he saw. Phelps turned in perhaps the most impressive performance so far in his comeback, posting the third-fastest time in the world this year while easily beating rival Ryan Lochte in the 100-meter butterfly at the Bulldog Grand Slam on Friday night. Despite some problems with his turn, Phelps had the packed house roaring when he touched in 51.67 seconds, considerably faster than the 52.11 he posted at the Santa Clara Grand Prix three weeks ago. Lochte was a distant second in 53.08. "I wanted to get under 52," Phelps said, breaking into a big smile. "I was sick and tired of seeing 52.1." He had no trouble finishing ahead of Lochte, though it really wasnt a fair fight. Phelps longtime foe also competed in the 200 freestyle, winning the "B" final less than an hour before he returned to the water to face a rested Phelps. More important for Lochte -- his left knee seemed to hold up well. This is his first meet for the laid-back Floridian since he reinjured the surgically repaired knee at the Mesa Grand Prix in April. It was initially hurt late last year when he tried to catch an exuberant fan and fell into a curb, requiring surgery. "I hope I lose," said Lochte, who plans to swim a grueling six events in Athens. "It will just make me more hungry." Phelps is set to swim three events at the weekend meet on the University of Georgia campus, a hastily arranged event that gave some of the top swimmers on the East Coast a chance to swim one more time competitively before the next months national championships in Irvine, California. The results from nationals, as well as the Pan Pacific Championships being held in Australia later in August, will determine the U.S. team for the 2015 world championships. Phelps seems to be right on course, at least in his signature fly, finishing just 0.46 off the time that won the gold at the 2012 London Olympics. The only faster times this year were Thomas Dals 51.44 in the Belgian Open and Viacheslav Prudnikovs 51.60 at the Russian national championships. "I am very pleased with being able to go 51," Phelps said. "But in the grand scheme of things, I think its just a small steppingstone to go where we hope to be." He is still struggling with the consistency of his stroke. When things are going well, Phelps needs 16 strokes to cover the first 50 metres, 18 for the return lap. When hes just a little off, he winds up gliding into the wall too much, either when hes making his flip turn or coming to the finish. "I was kind of bummed that I still cant hit a wall correctly," Phelps said. Added his coach, Bob Bowman, "He looked crazy coming off the wall." All in all, though, no complaints. Phelps, who retired after the last Olympics and stayed away from the pool for more than a year, didnt come back to tarnish his legacy, which includes 18 golds and 22 medals overall -- far more than any other Olympic athlete. "I always set high expectations for myself, no matter what Im doing," he said. "Bob and I have a plan of what I want to do. He knows what its going to take to get there." In other events, French Olympic star Yannick Agnel took the mens 200 freestyle in 1 minute, 47.27 seconds, followed by U.S. Olympians Conor Dywer (1:47.44) and Connor Jaeger (1:47.94). Lochte, swimming in that consolation final, actually posted the fourth-fastest time of the evening at 1:48.69, some 4 seconds faster than he went in the morning preliminaries while wearing a non-racing suit. Allison Schmitt, coming back strong after a disappointing post-Olympic year, won the womens 200 freestyle in 1:58.16. Winner of five medals in London, she struggled a bit with fame and didnt even qualify for the 2013 worlds. Shes back on track with the Rio Games just two years away. "I have more goals that I want to accomplish, which is why Im back," Schmitt said. "Im looking forward to this summer." In the 400 individual medley, Olympic gold medallist Tyler Clary blew away the field in the mens race. His time of 4:21.66 was nearly 4 1/2 seconds ahead of runner-up Kevin Litherland. Melanie Margalis finished first on the womens side. Micah Lawrence touched first in the womens 100 breaststroke, while the mens breaststroke was captured by Nicolas Fink. Seventeen-year-old Kathleen Baker took the womens 100 fly in 59.69, the only swimmer to break the minute barrier. Of course, Phelps drew most of the attention. His main foe was impressed by what he saw. "He swam a fantastic race," Lochte said. "That was really fast." Zach Collins Jersey . Levante, which had lost five straight including a Copa del Rey game last weekend, fell behind at its Ciutat de Valencia stadium when Ionut Sapanura opened the scoring for Elche in the 26th minute. Caleb Swanigan Jersey . Phoenix got injured centre Emeka Okafor and a top-12-protected first-round draft pick in 2014 -- giving the rebuilding Suns potentially four choices in the opening round. The Suns also sent guards Kendall Marshall, Shannon Brown and Malcolm Lee to Washington so the deal will work financially. http://www.blazersteamofficial.com/Noah-Vonleh-Blazers-Jersey/ . The Detroit Tigers star had microfracture surgery Friday to repair the medial and lateral meniscus in his left knee. "I dont want to say it was a surprise," team president and general manager Dave Dombrowski said.NEW YORK, N.Y. - Michael Sam has been selected the winner of the Arthur Ashe Courage Award. The Missouri defensive end, who likely will be drafted by an NFL team this weekend, will receive the award given to individuals who transcend sports at The 2014 ESPYs on July 16. Sam, the SEC Defensive Player of the Year, has announced that he is gay, making him set to become the first openly gay player in the NFL. ESPN is honouring Sam for "his courage and honesty that resonates beyond sports." "Im very honoured to be presented with the Arthur Ashe award," he said. "It is about courage. "You know I dont think there is anything courageous I did. I look forward to when we can live life in a world when gays dont have to come out in public." Sam said he has received support from athletes in all sports, "from football to basketball to softball to soccer, everyone." "I am thrilled to be living in a time when you can be accepted for how you live." Sam joins a prestigious list of winners ranging from Jim Valvano, the first recipient in 1995, to Muhammad Ali, Billie Jean King, Cathy Freeman, Nellson Mandela and Pat Summitt. Moe Harkless Jersey. The award, of course, is named for Ashe, the inspirational tennis star who died in 1993 after contracting AIDS from a blood transfusion. After learning he had the disease, Ashe campaigned to raise awareness about AIDS. "Arthur always believed in and practiced leading by example," said Ashes widow, Jeanne Moutoussamy-Ashe. "When Michael Sam announced that he is gay, he courageously stepped forward to engage an issue that still remains a pervasive problem in many professional sports. Michael has displayed true leadership both on and off the field." Sam is one of eight children from Hitchcock, Texas. Two of his siblings have died and one disappeared and has not been found. Maura Mandt, executive producer of the ESPYs, calls Sam a "humble guy who isnt looking for any accolades." "In deciding to give Michael this honour, while his courageous act of coming out is a part of it, the story is about the life he led growing up," Mandt added. "A man who has consistently lived his life with integrity, is never afraid of living this truth." Georgia State broke the game open with a 16-5 second-half run, led by Manny Atkins six points. Arkansas State, coming off a four overtime win on Friday, was held without a field goal for over 9 minutes during Georgia States run. Atkins finished with 12 points for Georgia State (25-7). Harrow was 9 of 14 from the field and Hunter made three 3-pointers. Kendrick Washington led Arkansas State (19-13) with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Harrow scored 14 first-half points, including back-to-back 3-pointers capping a 12-3 Georgia State run and the Panthers led 32-24 at the break. "I was happy being here," the 42-year-old Jagr said Thursday in a conference call from Belarus, where he is playing for the Czech Republic in the world championships. "There was no reason to change. There was no reason to test free agency. What would happen? Someone might give me more money, but nobody can guarantee me that Id be happy someplace else. If Im happy, then theres no reason to go anywhere else. I play my best hockey when Im happy." The Devils did not release terms of the contract. Jagr said it was a one-year deal. The contract is believed to be worth $6 million with incentives. "I like having one-year deals," Jagr said. "If something goes wrong, you never know if you have a long contract and say have three years left. One year is good for everybody. I think both sides wanted to get this done quickly. Lou (Lamoriello, the teams president and general manager) wanted to do it, because he wanted to see the direction where hes going with the team." Jagr was the Devils leading scorer this, finishing with 24 goals and 43 assists for 67 points. "Id truly like to score more goals," Jagr said. "I feel like I can play with the guys we have. We have a better chance to play better. We have a good group of guys and thats very important. I like to play a lot, because I dont get tired." Jagr will turn 43 in February of next season, his 21st year in the NHL. A two-time winner of the Stanley Cup when he played for the Pittsburgh Peenguins, Jagr has 705 goals and 1,050 assists. Charles Oakley Jersey. The Devils missed the playoffs for the third time in the last four seasons. "We made a lot of mistakes early," Jagr said. "But we were able to play good against the good teams. We lost a lot of points to teams that didnt make the playoffs. It put us in a position where we had to win almost every game and that was too much pressure. We didnt have any great superstars, but we had good goal scorers that give us a chance to compete against anybody and beat anybody. Its just my feeling, but we didnt have to be great to win games, if we work hard." Jagr said that he liked the camaraderie in the Devils locker room. "We have a lot of fun," Jagr said. "We have a loose atmosphere. Theres not a bad guy in the room. Maybe we need a bad one to get in the playoffs." Jagr was named Thursday as one of the three finalists for the Bill Masterton Award, given to the player "who best exemplifies the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication to hockey," along with Manny Malholtra of the Carolina Hurricanes and Dominic Moore of the New York Rangers. "It means a lot that the hockey writers picked me," Jagr said. "Hockey writers can be very picky, so for them to pick me means a lot. I just love the sport and follow the laws of the sport." Jagr said he plans to keep playing after next season. "Theres no reason to stop," Jagr said. "I want to play for as long as I can. As long as I work hard, I am going to continue to play." The Blue Jays are still hanging in there in the American League East. [url=http://www.officialsabreshockeyauthentic.com/robin-le

The Blue Jays are still hanging in there in the American League East. Robin Lehner Jersey . With 63 games left to play, theyre tied with the Yankees at three full games back of Baltimore. Theyre also just 1 1/2 games back of Seattle for the second Wild Card spot. So essentially, the Jays season is down to this. Forty-one of their remaining 63 games are against their own division. Over the last few years, their record against the AL East has turned them into also-rans down the stretch when the schedule toughens up. In three of the past four seasons, their mark at this point was almost identical. In 2012, they were 51-49. In 2011, they were 50-49 and in 2010 they were 50-48-1, with the one being a suspended game. Right now in 2014, they are 51-48. The only exception was last year, when they were actually a little worse at 45-54 on July 23. Of the four previous seasons, with Alex Anthopoulos as GM, the Jays had a winning record after 99 games just once. In 2010, the Jays went (35-29) to finish at 85-77-1. If the Jays can win 35 of their final 63 games this time around, their 86 victories may or may not put them into the postseason. The Blue Jays next 10 games are against the Easts traditional powers - Boston and the Yankees - with both having off-seasons by their standards. The Jays kick off this stretch with four at home beginning Monday night at Rogers Centre against the BoSox. Then its on to New York for three and then to Fenway for three more. Considering they probably wont have Edwin Encarnacion, Adam Lind and Brett Lawrie for at least seven of those 10 games - and perhaps all 10 - its going to be a daunting task indeed. Over the past four seasons, the Blue Jays cumulative record against Boston is only 37-42. Theyve also had a losing record against the Red Sox in three of those four seasons. The only exception being the 2012 season, when the Jays held an (11-7) edge in the year of the Bobby Valentine managerial fiasco. The Jays record against the Yankees over that four year span has been even worse. Theyre 32-50 in all, with 2010 being the only season they had a winning edge at 10-8 and remember the Jays have also dropped 16 in a row at Yankee Stadium. The Jays desperately need to go at least 6-4 or better over the next 10 to tide them over until everyone gets healthy. Then and only then, will John Gibbons and company have a chance at staying in the race for first in the AL East until the end. For the record, the Jays are 18-17 this season against the East, including 4-2 against Boston and 3-6 versus the Yankees. They have 13 left against Boston and 10 with the Yankees. Thats more than a third of their remaining games and they likely hold the key to having any chance of winning the division. Grabbing the second Wild Card slot ahead of Seattle is the emergency safety hatch. The Jays still have seven games left with the Ms - three on the road and four at home. But taking the second Wild Card would likely mean a one game playoff with the As or the Angels out on the West Coast - not exactly the most desirable situation. The Blue Jays Triple A affiliate in Buffalo has lost seven games in a row and is having almost as much trouble most nights scoring runs as the Jays. Just the same, Kevin Pillar - who spent 26 games up with the big club this season - has been on fire. Hes tied for the International League lead in doubles with 27, which would have been the team high for the entire season a year ago. He also leads the Bisons in hits with 87, triples (with three) and is tied for the team lead in stolen bases (15). On the flip side, righty reliever Steve Delabar still hasnt rediscovered his A game. In eight appearances over 10 innings, he is 0-2 with a 5.40 ERA with nine strikeouts and six walks. I got asked the other day if I could remember the last Major League player to play at all nine positions in one game. Off the top of my head I could only remember the first two - Bert Campaneris, who turned the trick for the Kansas City As on Sept. 8, 1965, and Cesar Tovar of the Minnesota Twins who accomplished the feat on Sept. 22, 1968 - against (go figure) Campaneris and the As. Playing all nine positions in a game is more of a novelty event, used by teams who are basically playing in nothing games near the end of the season. Its only happened two other times in Major League history, the two I couldnt remember and both happened in 2000. Scott Sheldon and the Texas Rangers were playing at Comiskey and the White Sox blew out to a big lead early and went on to hammer Texas 13-1. Sheldon actually didnt get into the game for the Rangers until the fourth inning, but still managed to play all nine spots on the diamond. That was on Sept. 6. About three weeks later, with the Twins playing Detroit on Oct. 1 - the final day of the regular season - Shane Halter of the Tigers became the most recent Major Leaguer to play all nine positions in one game. Not only that, he went 4-for-5 with four runs batted in. But the two earlier games each had something unique about them - which may be why I remember them so well. When Campaneris pitched in 1965, he pitched lefty-to-lefty hitters and then switched to righty-to-righty hitters. Cesar Tovar actually was the starting pitcher for the Twins in his game in 1968. Will it ever happen again? Maybe not, but I guess we can never say never. If I had to bet on a Blue Jay doing it, it would probably be Steve Tolleson. Victor Antipin Jersey . Plata blasted a rising shot to the upper left corner for his team-leading seventh goal of the season. He got the kick after referee Allen Chapman ruled Chris Tierney fouled John Stertzer in the penalty area. Derek Roy Jersey . Its a blessing and a burden for nine sons of former NHL players who are all expected to be taken in the first four rounds of the draft this weekend. http://www.officialsabreshockeyauthentic.com/linus-ullmark-jersey/ .S. Olympic hockey management team have been making what he called "ghost rosters" since August.Raleigh, NC (SportsNetwork.com) - Victor Rask and Elias Lindholm scored on Carolinas first two chances in the shootout, and the Hurricanes overcame blowing a third-period lead to top the Colorado Avalanche 3-2 on Tuesday night. The Avalanche rallied with goals from Matt Duchene and John Mitchell, but were shut out by Anton Khudobin in the tiebreaker. Rask opened the shootout with a deke to the backhand. Lindholm also used the backhand to lift the puck over Calvin Pickards right pad. Jordan Staal and Patrick Dwyer scored in regulation for the Hurricanes, who improved to 4-1-1 in January. Khudobin made 28 saves. Pickard stopped 44 shots for Colorado, which has opened a five-game road trip with consecutive one-goal losses. Duchene started the rally 25 seconds into the third.. Johan Larsson Jersey. Mitchell beat Khudobin with a wrister shot from the right faceoff dot to tie it at 10:05. Staal scored Carolinas first goal on a give-and-go with Ryan Murphy at 14:05 of the opening period. Dwyer fired the puck through a Jay McClement screen and past Pickard to make it 2-0 at 6:03 of the second period. Duchene had hit the crossbar with a backhander less than two minutes earlier. Colorados Nathan MacKinnon was foiled twice later in the second. After ringing a shot off the left post, he was robbed by the glove of Khudobin from point-blank range. (SportsNetwork. Custom Chicago Bears Jerseys .com) - Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll knows about life in the NFL from other stints around the league. He just wasnt used to having so much success. Carroll struggled as head coach of the New York Jets and New England Patriots in the 1990s, and now his Seahawks are on the doorstep of a second straight Super Bowl appearance. Standing in the way of Seattles date with destiny are the Green Bay Packers, who will visit a boisterous CenturyLink Field Sunday afternoon in the NFC Championship Game. The Pacific Northwest has been a place where opposing teams come to die and the Seahawks were 7-1 there in the regular season. The Seahawks face a big challenge versus quarterback Aaron Rodgers and a potent Packers offense. Everybody is looking forward to the preparation and getting ready for obviously a fantastic football team, Carroll said of Green Bay. Mike (McCarthy) has done a great job with this team for years. Theyve always been in the hunt for being a championship team and here they are again. And its no surprise. Carroll said the experience in the Emerald City has been amazing with a whole perspective and culture within the franchise. He admitted he never thought he could top the success he achieved at the college ranks. I thought I could never top what had happened at SC, Carroll said. What were in the middle of right now and the youth and the connection we have with our following is so special that this is as good as it gets. So Im thrilled about it. It helps to have such a loyal fan base and talented players. The Seahawks are 25-2 at home, including the playoffs, over the past three seasons and are unbeaten in the previous eight postseason games as the host. They are currently riding a seven-game winning streak in which theyve outscored opponents by a lopsided 165-56 margin (102-20 in second half). Seattle, which is the No. 1 seed in the NFC for a second straight season, opened its playoff run with last weekends 31-17 rout of the Carolina Panthers. Russell Wilson passed for 268 yards with a touchdown pass to Doug Baldwin, Jermaine Kearse and Luke Willson, while Marshawn Lynch ran for 59 yards on 14 carries. Wilson knows what hell be up against versus the Pacers. Its going to be one for the ages, said Wilson, who is 5-1 in the postseason with a 109.6 passer rating. The NFC West-champion Seahawks (13-4) havent lost since Nov. 16 at Kansas City and hope to eventually become the eighth different team to win back-to back Super Bowl, joining New England, Denver, Dallas, San Francisco, Pittsburgh (twice), Miami and Green Bay. The Patriots were the last team to accomplish the feat in Super Bowl XXXVIII and XXXIX. Its exciting but the jobs not done, Wilson said. Were on one mission. You just have to take it one game at a time. Our goal is to go 1-0. Wilson hopes to have center Max Unger back Sunday. He left Saturdays win over the Panthers with an ankle injury and missed the final six regular season games. Carroll said Unger felt pretty good the next day and looks to be OK. The Packers (13-4) recorded their fourth straight NFC North title in the regular season and went 9-0 at Lambeau Field, including last Sundays 26-21 victory over the Dallas Cowboys. Green Bay punched its ticket to the conference title game for the first time since winning it all back in 2010 and Rodgers shook off a gimpy left calf to throw for 316 yards and three touchdowns. The PFWAs NFL MVP completed 24- of-35 passing and still extended plays on basically one leg. Rodgers was asked how much more can the injured calf take. I think Ive got 120 minutes left in me so Im going to do everything I can to play all of those minutes, Rodgers said. He added the leg felt worse after beating Dallas and will face a tough, gritty Seattle defense. Youve just got to be efficient against them, which is tough because they take away just about everything you do. Its not an intricate scheme, but it doesnt have to be when you have those kinds of players, said Rodgers, who has a 105.3 passer rating in the playoffs. The Packers, who benefited from an overturned call on a catch by Dez Bryant near the goal line, are 31-19 in postseason play and have reached the playoffs seven times in the last nine years under McCarthy. They are 8-1 over the last nine games and have won 12 of the last 14 games since Rodgers told the fan base to relax following a 1-2 start to the campaign. One of those two losses for the Packers came in Seattle on Sept. 4. The Seahawks crushed Green Bay, 36-16, and were led by Lynchs 110 yards and two TDs on 20 carries. Wilson needed to pass for only 191 yards and collected a pair of touchdown strikes with no interceptions. He is 2-0 against Green Bay. Rodgers threw for 189 yards with a TD and an interception. McCarthy believes his team improved significantly from that Week 1 loss. Weve improved as a whole offense. Weve scored a few points this year, McCarthy said. They have a great defense. We recognize that and look forward to the challenge. Green Bay, which went 2-2 in its last four road games, will meet Seattle for the third time in the postseason and has won the previous two matchups, including a 42-20 rout at Lambeau Field on Jan. 12, 2008. The Packers lead the all-time series with the Seahawks, 10-7, and are 3-2 in NFC Championships. The Packers have won the last two they played on the road and are tied with Baltimore for the most road wins in postseason history (10). There have been seven consecutive NFC Championship Games decided by seven points or fewer, the longest streak in conference championship game history. Seattle is vying to become the 12th team in NFL history to reach the Super Bowl after winning it the previous season. WHAT TO WATCH FOR If Rodgers didnt have an issue with his calf, the Seahawks would be in trouble on their own turf. It doesnt matter what the decibel level is during the game because Rodgers is coming to play bum leg or not. Sherman doesnt feel Rodgers calf injury will be a factor. Not much. Doesnt take away much. That was evident the last game, Sherman said. In the last game, he puts that zip on the ball. He has quick wrist release anyway. He doesnt always have to drive through his throws to get them where he wants them. Rodgers was visibly in pain versus the Cowboys and was still able to make plays with his feet when he needed to. Dallas defense doesnt have as much talent as Seattles and allowed two 100-yard receivers in Davante Adams (117 yards, TD) and Randall Cobb (116 yards). Jordy Nelson wasnt much of a factor with two catches for 22 yards. Just dont sleep on him, Seattle. Rodgers has thrown for 1,470 yards with 12 TD strikes, four INTs and a 108.2 QB rating on the road in the postseason. The Packers receivers will face Seahawks talkative cornerback Richard Sherman, who had an interception last week versus Carolina. Safety Kam Chancellor also recorded an interception of Cam Newton and returned it 90 yards for a touchdown. Sherman and free safety Earl Thomas were named to the NFLs All-Pro team. Seattle hopes starting cornerback Byron Maxwell will be able to go at full speed and was sidelined through portions of the Carolina win because of shortness of breath. Second-year cornerback Tharold Simon got the start opposite of Sherman and will do so again if Maxwell cant go. He was real sick, Carroll said. Hes had a history of some chest stuff. Hes had pneumonia before and all that. So he was uncomfortable and he couldnt catch his breath in normal fashion. He could play a play, but he didnt know if he could play a sequence. Carroll is hoping to get one of his top defenders back Sunday. The Seahawks paced the NFL in points allowed (15.9), total defense (267.1) and pass defense (185.6). Michael Bennett led the defense with seven sacks and linebacker Bruce Irvin had 6 1/2. Linebacker K.J. Wright posted a team-high 107 tackles in the regular season and LB Bobby Wagner had 104. Were playing for each other, Sherman said. Thats been the biggest thing. Guys are doing whatever it takes to win. Guys are playing for one another, they dont care about stats. Championships are won in the playoffs. Green Bays defense should take a page out of Dallas scheme from a 30-23 win at Seattle on Oct. 12. Wilson passed for only 126 yards with no touchdowns and an interception, and Lynch was limited to 61 yards on 10 carries. Lynch, whos a threat catching passes in the flats, has only one 100-yard rushing game in his last five contests. Lynch ran for 1,306 yards and 13 TDs in the regular season for the Seahawks, who led the NFL is rushing offense with 172.6 ypg. Lynch had no problem against the Packers in Week 1, but things are different at this juncture, especially with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line. The one known by the nickname Beastmode has six rushing touchdowns in the past six postseason games and four rushing scores in four playoff games in Seattle. Over the last eight games of the regular season, Green Bays defense ranked in the top 10 in rushing yards allowed (691), rushing average (3.60) and rushing touchdowns (two). Packers linebackers Clay Matthews and A.J. Hawk, and safeties Morgan Burnett and Ha Ha Clinton-Dix should be flying around the football. Yeah, you have to always be aware of Clay. Hes moving around, playing defensive end and outside linebacker and middle linebacker, all over the field, Wilson said. One of the best players in the National Football League. You have to be aware for where he is. And hes got tons of talent. Its going to be a great matchup going up against him. Cornerbacks Sam Shields and Tramon Williams arent facing a dangerous wide receiver core, but cant take the foot off the pedal against Baldwin and Kearse. Shields has four INTs in his last seven playoff games and Williams owns four picks over his previous nine postseason appearances. If the front line can get pressure up front, Shields and Williams will be in better position to create turnovers. Packers running back Eddie Lacy can bring the pain similar to Lynch and ran for 101 yards on 19 touches versus the Cowboys. It was his 10th consecutive game with at least 100 scrimmage yards, a team record. Sundays win over Dallas marked the first playoff game in franchise history in which the Packers had a 300-yard passer, a 100-yard rusher and two 100-yard receivers. But theres still work to be done. We understand the jobs not done, Packers guard T.J. Lang said. Our expectation is to win a championship. Our goal is to go a lot deeper than the NFC Championship Game. Going up to Seattle, its going to be a good matchup and were excited about it. Its going to be a tough one, we understand that, but well be ready for the challenge. With how well both defenses have been playing, look for the special teams units to put the offense in the best position to win. FBS champion Ohio State proved Monday that turning the ball over doesnt necessarily signify a death knell, but that usually doesnt translate at the NFL level. OVERALL ANALYSIS Its only fitting Seattle and Green Bay kicked off the regular season and will cross paths again with a trip to Super Bowl XLIX on the line. Rodgers may have 120 minutes left in that balky left calf and wont have to worry about the remaining 60 because Seattles going back to the Super Bowl. Weve had the opportunity to really experience the best of the NFL, Carroll said. Our guys are really getting a full experience of it and its wonderful to see these guys grow up and find out what this thing is all about. Its about the hard work and the sacrifice and the giving to one another and what you can get out of that when you really give of yourself. This has been a wonderful experience for all of us. Im thrilled to be part of it. Seattles 12th man, the defense and Wilson are ready to do their part and help this wonderful experience reach new heights. Raising the George Halas Trophy as NFC champions will put the Seahawks that much closer. Sports Network Predicted Outcome: Seahawks 27, Packers 20 Dick Butkus Jersey . - Mark Sanchez found out the New York Jets had acquired Tim Tebow on a conference call with team management. Jordan Howard Jersey . City has reached new heights under manager Manuel Pellegrini as they transition from big spending/immediate impact to perennial contender. Yaya Toures seeming discontent Tuesday may complicate that, as does the little issue of Financial Fair Play. http://www.bearsauthenticproshop.com/Youth-Cody-Whitehair-Bears-Jersey/ . At this point, even he isnt sure when it is going to stop. The right-hander dropped his fourth straight decision in Los Angeles 6-1 loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates on Wednesday night, leaving his status very much in doubt as the Dodgers prepare for the stretch drive.VANCOUVER - Andy Fantuz was in no mood to celebrate the top Canadian award he earned during Sundays Grey Cup.The Hamilton Tiger-Cats receiver was feeling miserable after his club bowed 20-16 to the Calgary Stampeders in the CFL title game at B.C. Place Stadium.I wanted this championship for everybody in this locker-room, he said. Thats all that mattered. This other stuff, all this superficial stuff, it doesnt matter. Its all about this feeling right now — and trying to never feel it again. The 30-year-old Chatham, Ont., native earned top Canadian honours after recording a game-high six catches for 81 yards in a losing cause. Five of his receptions came in the fourth quarter as the Ticats attempted a late rally that fell short. Only Calgarys Eric Rogers gained more yards (10 while making five receptions.Fantuz made three catches during a 10-play, 45-yard scoring drive that culminated with a 12-yard Justin Medlock field goal and reduced Hamiltons deficit to 20-13 in the fourth quarter. But the Tiger-Cats could only muster one more Medlock three-pointer, from 37 yards, before the final gun sounded. The strong second-half performance came after Fantuz managed just one catch — a 21-yard gain that proved to be his longest reception of the night — in the first half, when the Stampeders built a 17-7 lead.We started too slow, said Fantuz, whose award came after he went without a catch in limited duty in the Eastern Finnal and missed the last three games of the regular season with a torn hamstring. Sam Acho Jersey. We let them get out. They made more (big) plays than us throughout the game. We started to build momentum, especially in the fourth (quarter), but it was too little, too late.Despite his misery, Fantuz expressed some satisfaction with the season that had just ended. He played a leadership role as the Ticats overcame a 1-6 start to the season, finished first in the East Division with a 9-9 mark and ousted the Montreal Alouettes in the East Final. The Tiger-Cats were denied in their quest to become only the second team in CFL history to win a Grey Cup following such a start. The B.C. Lions were the first to do so, in 2011 on the same B.C. Place Stadium turf. This year was special to me, said Fantuz after the Tiger-Cats lost the championship game for the second straight year. It was my first year as a captain, and to see the guys rally together and turn a handful of captains into a team full of captains really made it a special year for us.But Fantuz could not take much joy in that point, or the fact that he had appeared in his fifth Grey Cup contest — more than any other player on the field Sunday — either.I love everyone in this room, he said. Im so disappointed for us.Note to readers: This is a corrected version of an earlier story. Hamilton finished first in the CFL East, not second as previously stated. MILAN - Juventus maintained its charge to a third successive Serie A title as it won 1-0 at 10-man Catania in a fiery match in Serie A on Sunday. Andre Roberts Jersey . Carlos Tevez scored the only goal of the game to take him level with Torino striker Ciro Immobile at the top of the scoring charts. Catania was forced to play with 10 men for much of the second half after Gonzalo Bergessio was dismissed following a second booking. Both coaches were also sent to the stands for protests during the first period. Juventus restored its 14-point lead over Roma, which has a game in hand. "I think the referee wanted to give a warning to the players, by sending off the managers and calming things down a bit," Conte said. "The match was very heated and we were good to keep a cool head. "I am very proud of the lads. We are playing at extraordinary levels, but we have to give credit to Roma, which is doing something incredible. So we have to stay awake because nothing is over and decided yet." Earlier, Fiorentina snatched a late 1-0 win at 10-man Napoli to boost its chances of sneaking into the Champions League. Inter Milan is four points further back after a last-minute goal consigned it to a 2-1 loss at home to Atalanta. Parma is level, but with a game in hand, after it drew 1-1 with Genoa in the lunchtime kickoff. "It was the perfect day, seeing as we opened up a gap on those behind us and got closer to third spot," Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Montella said. "It will be difficult to reach because Napoli is strong and has a big advantage. But well try right until the end." Lazio is five points off a European spot after being held to a 1-1 draw by AC Milan. Hellas Veronas European bid was dented again as it lost 5-0 at Sampdoria. Elsewhere, Udinese beat Sassuolo 1-0 and Bologna won a relegation fight against Cagliari by the same score. It was top against bottom in Serie A and 55 points separated Juventus and Catania going into the match. Tension was high from the start as the Juventus bus was pelted with objects on its way to the stadium. Juventus struggled but broke the deadlock shortly before the hour mark. Pablo Osvaldo nodded back a long ball from Andrea Pirlo for Tevez to race forward and fire home an angled drive for his 16th goal of the season. Both Napoli and Fiorentina were in need of a confidence boost after crashing out of the Europa League midweek. Faouzi Ghoulam was controversially dismissed in the 37th minute after bringing down Marko Bakic on the edge of the area and Joaquin headed home the winner two minutes from time. Fiorentina moved seven points behind third-place Napoli. There was also a late goal in Milan, where Giacomo Bonaventura scored his second of the game 10 seconds from time when he was left completely unmarked at the far post to head a free kick between Samir Handanovics legs. Mauro Icardi had cancelled out Bonaventuras opener within 60 seconds in the first half. To celebrate he held up a T-shirt dedicated to his girlfriend Wanda Nera, the ex-wife of former Sampdoria teammate Maxi Lopez. Inter should have sealed the match in the second half but Fredy Guarin smashed a shot off the crossbar and Rodrigo Palacio sent a glancing header onto the left upright. Both sides could have snatched the win. Inters Jonathan cleared off the line three minutes from time before chipping the ball off the underside of the crossbar at the other end. Atalanta also hit the woodwork in the first half, when German Denis headed Bonaventuras cross off the crossbar. Parma maintained its charge toward a European spot as it extended its club record unbeaten run to 17 matches. Milan coach Clarence Seedorf was under pressure with seven defeats in his 12 matches in charge. His side took the lead two minutes from halftime when Abdoulay Konko deflected Kakas shot into his own net. However, Alvaro Gonzalez headed in the equalizer on the hour. Substitute Mario Balotelli was unlucky as his effort hit the right post eight minutes from time. At Udinese, captain Antonio Di Natale scored his 10th goal of the season to ensure he reached double figures in goals for the eighth consecutive season. It was a good way to mark his 324th league appearance for Udinese — a new club record. Di Natale could have had a second but kicked up a chunk of turf as he ballooned a penalty over the bar. Sassuolo also missed a penalty kick. Duke Riley Jersey . Chris Heisey followed with a two-run triple and Billy Hamilton added an RBI double, all but sealing Cincinnatis fourth straight victory and seventh in eight games. Brandon Phillips, celebrating his 33rd birthday, hit a go-ahead homer in the ninth for the Reds before pinch-hitter Buster Posey tied it with an RBI double off hard-throwing closer Aroldis Chapman in the bottom half. Desmond Trufant Jersey . Now he has a complete game. Scherzer tossed a three-hitter in his 179th career start for his first complete game and Victor Martinez hit his 16th homer to lead the Detroit Tigers a 4-0 win over the Chicago White Sox. http://www.falconsapparelsshop.com/jalen-collins-falcons-jersey-c-29/ . Playing in his fourth major league game, Polanco broke a tie in the 13th inning with his first homer, helping Pittsburgh to an 8-6 victory over the Miami Marlins after the Pirates had a ninth-inning meltdown.SYDNEY, Australia -- An Australian is expected to guide the Socceroos when Football Federation Australia chooses a new coach, chairman Frank Lowy said on Tuesday. German veteran Holger Osieck helped Australia navigate the Asian World Cup qualifying tournament to secure a spot in Brazil but was fired last weekend in the wake of back-to-back 6-0 losses to Brazil and France in friendlies. To replace Osieck, "our preference is clearly for an Australian coach," Lowy said. "Three names are being talked about and its not wrong that we have three possible Australian candidates." Melbourne Victory coach Ange Postecoglou and former Socceroos assistant coach Graham Arnold are considered to be the front-runners, with a decision expected within two weeks. Speculation has also brought up Guus Hiddink, the Dutchman whoo guided Australia to the second round at the 2006 World Cup after helping South Korea reach the semifinals in 2002, and former Liverpool manager Gerard Houllier. Courtney Upshaw Jersey. With only eight months until the World Cup, and with Australia hosting the next Asian Cup in early 2015, Lowy said the FFA would be seeking to appoint a long-term manager. Osiecks departure followed a trend for Australian national teams in recent months, with two other foreign coaches being fired after poor performances in international competition since July. New Zealander Robbie Deans was fired after the Wallabies lost to the British and Irish Lions in a rugby union series, and South African Mickey Arthur was fired as Australia cricket coach only weeks before the Ashes series in England. In both cases, they were replaced by Australians. PORTLAND, Ore. Chris Paul Jersey . -- With Portland trailing Utah to start the fourth quarter, Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard did what an All-Star is supposed to do. Lillard scored 14 points in the final period and finished with 28 for the short-handed Trail Blazers in a much-needed 102-94 victory over Utah on Friday night. "I definitely feel like theres times I have to assert myself," he said. Lillard grabbed attention last weekend by taking part in a record five All-Star events. Last-seasons Rookie of the Year was a first-time All-Star, earning a spot on the West team by vote of the conferences coaches. The Blazers need Lillard to take over games like he did against the Jazz in the absence of fellow All-Star LaMarcus Aldridge, who sat out with a left groin injury. Robin Lopez had 12 points and a career-high 18 rebounds for the Blazers, who avoided a season-high fourth straight loss as they struggle to keep pace in the Western Conference. "When youre going through a tough stretch, its hard to get back on track sometimes," Lillard said. "This win will get us back on track." Enes Kanter matched his career-high with 25 points and added 10 rebounds for the Jazz, who lost their second straight after a three-game winning streak. Utah opened the final quarter with a 73-64 lead, but Portland answered with a 7-0 run to close within 73-71 and went ahead on Lillards 3-pointer with 9:18 left. Energized by regaining the lead, Lillards alley-oop dunk off a dish from Nicolas Batum made it 80-75 with 6:07 left. "Hes always in attack mode," Utahs Trey Burke said of Lillard. Utah kept it close down the stretch, with Richard Jeffersons 3-pointer narrowing the gap to 85-83. Batum answered with a 3-pointer for the Blazers. Kanters jumper got Utah within 94-91 with 1:21 to go, but Mo Williams jumper extended it again for the Blazers, who cruised the rest of the way. Portland outscored the Jazz 38-21 in the final period. "I thought in the fourth quarter we had a nice cushion," Jazz coach Tyrone Corbin said. "They just came out right from the beginning of the fourth and got a turnover and made a 3-point shot. We made another mistake and they scored on it, and they ran from there." Portland was playing its second game without Aldridge, who leads the team with 23.9 points and 11.4 rebounds per game. He is expected to sit out Sunday nights game against Minnesota before he is reevaluated. Dorell Wright started in Aldridges place. The Blazers also were without forward Joel Freeland, who has a right knee sprain, and Meyers Leonard, who sprained his left ankle in practice on Monday. Portlands front court got even thinner when Batum, who has been fighting the flu, retreated to the locker room late in the first half. Will Barton started the second half, but Batum returned late in the third quarter. The Jazz were without forward Derrick Favours, who missed his second straight game because of hip issues. Favours is averaging 12.9 points and nine rebounds a game. Kanter started in his place and led both teams with 15 points at the half. The Blazers led by as many as six points in the first quarter, but the Jazz closed in and went ahead 19-18 on Diante Garretts driving layup. Portland reclaimed a 28-25 lead midway through the second quarter on Bartons fast-break 360-degree dunk. Lillards 3-pointer extended the lead to 43-37. Both teams wrestled for the lead through the third quarter, until the Jazz appeared to make a move, going up 62-57 on Trey Burkes deep 3-pointer. It was Utahs biggest lead of the game to that point. Utah extended the lead to 68-60 on Alec Burks layup. NOTES: Blazers coach Terry Stotts wore a plaid sportcoat and an open-collared shirt in honour of Dr. Jack Ramsays 89th birthday. Ramsay coached the Trail Blazers to the 1977 NBA title, hence the throwback outfit. "Im not much of a fashionista, but I think he was able to pull it off," Lopez said. ... The Blazers have won the first three meetings against the Jazz for the first time since 1997-98. ... Portland was 17-of-17 from the free-throw line. Tracy McGrady Jersey . The club says its first-choice centre back "underwent medical tests on Wednesday morning" which confirmed he has injured his right hamstring. The injury was caused in the second minute of Tuesdays 4-1 league win over Real Sociedad in the Camp Nou when teammate Sergio Busquets accidentally struck Mascherano just above the knee with an outstretched boot. Robert Horry Jersey . With a victory seemingly slipping away late in the third quarter, his quick scoring flurry helped Golden State regain control early in the fourth. http://www.therocketsofficial.com/Authentic-Ryan-Anderson-Rockets-Jersey/ . -- Omar Infante walked past the visiting clubhouse at Kauffman Stadium, where he dressed so many times as a member of the Detroit Tigers, and slipped on a crisp, new Kansas City Royals jersey.ADELBODEN, Switzerland -- Ted Ligety and Marcel Hirschers latest World Cup giant slalom duel is set to go ahead Saturday despite unseasonably warm weather in the Swiss mountains. Adelboden race chief Hans Pieren said Friday that temperatures reached 20 C (68 F) on the course the previous day, as Europe experiences warmth while North America freezes. "It will be like spring, with water splashing up from the snow on your legs," Ligety, who won the GS race here last year, told The Associated Press. Team coaches were told Friday that Adelboden had recorded its hottest January temperature since it was a venue in the debut World Cup season of 1967. "We have tried everything we can and we have enough snow," Pieren said. Sunshine and tempperatures of at least 6 C (43 F) are forecast Saturday for the two-run race, staged over fields which are cow pasture in summer. Clyde Drexler Jersey. Ligety, the world champion and World Cup title holder in giant slalom, and Hirscher, the Austrian two-time defending overall World Cup winner, have combined to win all four races in the discipline this season. They have been joined on the podium by Alexis Pinturault of France in five of the past seven World Cup GS races, since Ligetys victory here one year ago. Austrian head coach Mathias Berthold suggested the soft conditions could open up the race beyond the dominant trio. "It might be a little easier for the others to catch up," Berthold said. "Its kind of hard to predict." Cheap Jerseys China NFL Jerseys Cheap Cheap Authentic Jerseys Stitched NFL Jerseys Wholesale NFL Hoodies Cheap Jerseys Throwback Wholesale Jerseys 2018 ' ' '

SOCHI, Russia -- Detroit Red Wings general manager Ken Holland does not expect Henrik Zetterberg to play again during the regular season because of his back ailment. Mike Glennon Jersey . Holland told The Associated Press on Saturday that Zetterberg could return to play if the team extends its post-season streak to 23 consecutive seasons. Zetterberg had back surgery Friday in New York to remove a fragmented disk. The Red Wings and Swedish Olympic hockey team captain played in one game in Russia before pulling out because of the injury. Zetterberg has 16 goals and 32 assists -- both team highs -- in 45 games this season. Detroit is competing for one of the final playoff spots in the NHLs Eastern Conference. Pat ODonnell Jersey . 28 with a Vancouver entry for the first time in 10 years and a novel new collective bargaining agreement. Jonathan Bullard Jersey . James Harden wasnt worried and told his coach as much. "He was fired up but I told him: Its OK. Were going to be all right," Harden said. And they were. Houston scored 17 straight points after that timeout, led by 10 from Harden, to take the lead and roll to an easy 129-106 win. http://www.bearsfootballpro.com/Authentic_Tom-Waddle_Bears_Jersey/ . Unlike last year when nobody got in, there have been estimates of as many as five getting voted in this time around and as few as one, Greg Maddux.BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Sabres defenceman Tyler Myers had no intention of changing his hard-hitting style before taking part in a disciplinary hearing for his illegal check to New Jersey forward Dainius Zubrus head. Now, Myers will have a week to reconsider after being suspended three games without pay by the NHL on Monday. Following a hearing by phone with Myers, the leagues department of player safety ruled the fifth-year player unnecessarily extended and launched himself into making the hit along the boards during the third period of Buffalos 2-1 home win Saturday. It happened along the boards inside the Sabres zone, with Myers right shoulder catching Zubrus in the jaw. Myers was assessed a minor penalty. Zubrus was briefly shaken up but continued playing. The suspension cost Myers $84,615 in salary, and will begin with Buffalos home game against Carolina on Tuesday night. Hes eligible to return for a home game against Philadelphia on Jan. 14. Myers suggested his height -- at 6-foot-8, hes the NHLs second-tallest player -- played a factor in how he hit Zubrus. "Thats just one of the disadvantages of being as tall as I am. It just comes with the territory," Myers said after practice but before the hearing was held. "I dont want to change anything just because of that. If things come out of it because of my height then Ill deal with it." The NHL did not agree, noting that Myers could have legally completed the hit by merely maintaining his position. Myers suspension further depletes Buffalos injury-riddledd roster. Tarik Cohen Bears Jersey. The Sabres (12-26-4) are already down six regulars, including veteran defenceman Henrik Tallinder, who has missed three games with an upper-body injury. Forward Ville Leino, who has missed two games with a lower-body injury, practiced for the second time on Monday, but isnt expected to be ready to return. The Sabres also have a roster decision to make with rookie centre Mikhail Grigorenko returning from helping Russia finish third in the world junior hockey championships in Sweden last weekend. The Sabres only options are keeping the 2012 first-round draft pick in Buffalo or returning him to his Canadian Junior team in Quebec City. Interim coach Ted Nolan said hes leaning toward demoting Grigorenko to further develop his game. Nolan said consistency remains an issue, even though Grigorenko led Russia with eight points (five goals, three assists) in seven games. "I think thats a problem with some young players, that consistent factor," Nolan said. "Its up to our organization to correct that. And you dont correct it just by giving things to players like that. You make them earn it." Grigorenko has had difficulty finding his niche in Buffalo since making his NHL debut last season. He has three goals and five assists in 43 career NHL games, including two goals and an assist in 18 games this season. The Sabres have already been blocked by the NHL from sending Grigorenko to the American Hockey League because, at 19, the player still has junior eligibility in Canada. MANCHESTER, England - David Silva scored twice Saturday as defending champion Manchester City, playing without a recognized striker, provisionally drew level with Chelsea at the top of the Premier League with a convincing 3-0 victory against Crystal Palace. Vitolo Jersey .It was Citys sixth league win in succession and eighth in all competitions, one short of equaling the club record. Both Chelsea and City have 39 points, but City has played one more game than Chelsea, which travels to Stoke City on Monday. Chelsea tops the league thanks to a superior goal difference of 23 to Citys 22.After a listless first half at the Etihad Stadium, City began the second with two goals by David Silva who struck after 49 and 61 minutes with two left-foot shots, the first taking a deflection off Palace defender Scott Dann. Yaya Toure swept in Citys third with 10 minutes remaining.City manager Manuel Pellegrini said: It was a very good win, a very good performance. I enjoyed the way the team worked the whole week — to work in a different way without strikers.Palace are a team who know how to defend. It was a great job to score three goals.Palace offered tough resistance in the opening period as City, missing injured strikers Sergio Aguero, Edin Dzeko and Stevan Jovetic, as well as captain and defence lynchpin Vincent Kompany, struggled to penetrate and failed to produce a single shot on target.Playing with six midfielders, City enjoyed long spells of possession and survived a few scares before breaking through and taking control.City increased the tempo in the second half and went ahead within four minutes when Zabaleta burst into the box and pulled the ball back for Silva whose shot struck Dann and looped over Julian Speroni.City continued to press and scored its second when Silva diverted the ball in from six yards following an accurate low cross by Aleksandar Kolarov. It was Silvas last significant act before he was replaced by Frank Lampard.Palaces hopes were dashed when a headed goal by James McArthur was ruled out for offside as the visitors sought a way back into the game before Toure scored Citys third with nine minutes remaining, appearing to be played onside by Fernandinho.Palace manager Neil Warnock said: I dont know why top class officials get it wrong. It wasnt even close. It was a disgraceful decision.Navas released Milner who held the ball up before feeding Toure, who strode forward and hit a powerful shot high past the goalkeeper. Rodrigo Jersey . Already owning gold from competition in Vancouver in 2010, Loch posted a combined four-run time of 3:27.526. That included a track-record third run of 51. Spain Jerseys . A groundswell for raising the number of playoff qualifiers to seven in each conference figures to get plenty of support from the 32 owners. Most notably, Arizonas Bill Bidwill, who saw his Cardinals go 10-6 and not get in, while Green Bay (8-7-1) qualified by winning the NFC North. http://www.spainsoccerpro.com/Alvaro-Odriozola-Spain-Jersey/ . While hell be dialed in to that tournament on a course he loves, you can forgive him if his eyes glance down the calendar just a bit, towards April. OAKLAND, Calif. -- Sweating out a win against the NBAs worst team isnt usually a cause for celebration. For a franchise that has felt frustration and futility for most of the last two decades, Golden State Warriors coach Mark Jackson is making sure his players celebrate every milestone during their long climb back to contention. Stephen Curry had 31 points and 11 assists, Klay Thompson scored 29 and the Warriors moved 18 games over .500 for the first time in 20 years with a 115-110 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday night. "You can take it for granted. Theres people thats 19 years old thats never seen this. Thats a wow moment," Jackson said. "Its an incredible accomplishment, and weve still got a ways to go. But were going to park and enjoy it, take a deep breath, appreciate it and then continue to chase down our ultimate goals." Those goals -- making the playoffs, earning home-court advantage in the first round and winning a championship -- are all within reach, though some are further away than others. Golden State (44-26) remains in sixth place in the tight Western Conference standings, 1 1/2 games behind Portland and 2 1/2 games ahead of Memphis and Dallas with 12 games left. The Warriors also trail fourth-place Houston by three games. "We want to try and get that home court" in the first round, Thompson said. "Its in striking distance." The Bucks (13-56) were handed another blow in a season full of them when guard Nate Wolters broke his left hand fighting through a screen in the first half. Reserve forward Jeff Adrien also received three stitches above his left eye before coming back in the second quarter. Brandon Knight had 27 points and eight rebounds, and Ramon Sessions scored 18 for Milwaukee, which has lost six straight and nine of 10 as it finishes off a forgettable season. "My guys played a very competitive game. We put ourselves in great position once again. We just couldnt make the plays down the stretch," Bucks coach Larry Drew said. The Bucks, who lost in overtime at Portland on Tuesday night, surprisingly stayed with the Warriors most of the game until Curry and company found their touch late. On one play late in the fourth quarter, Curry dribbled to his left and was fouled by Khris Middleton when he tossed the balll up -- and in -- with his right hand and his back to the basket. Gerard Pique Jersey. Curry shook his shoulders and waved his arms in celebration, and he completed the three-point play to give Golden State a 104-94 lead with 3:59 remaining. "Once I got the contact, I was able to get the ball above my shoulders to try to find the rim at some point. And obviously thats a lot of luck involved," Curry said. Milwaukee made one last run highlighted by Ersan Ilyasovas three-point play that sliced the Warriors lead to 108-105 with 56.2 seconds left. But Thompson quickly came back with a corner 3, and Curry made four free throws in the final seconds to seal a milestone win for the Bay Areas beloved basketball franchise. The last time the Warriors were 18 games over .500 was when they finished the 1993-94 season with a 50-32 record. They also remain on track to make the playoffs in consecutive years for the first time since the 1991-92 and 1992-93 seasons. The Warriors have five days off after hosting San Antonio on Saturday, and Jackson has been trying to balance winning with getting his banged-up players some rest. Starting swingman Andre Iguodala (right knee tendinitis) and backup centre Jermaine ONeal (rest) sat out for the second straight game. Iguodala also will miss the game against the Spurs, while ONeal is questionable. Milwaukee hardly gave Golden State a night off. After the Warriors went ahead by 10 early in the third quarter, the banged-up Bucks came roaring back. Milwaukee took advantage of some sloppy turnovers by Golden State to go up 66-65. David Lee, who finished with 22 points and 12 rebounds, helped the Warriors put together a brief spurt capped by Jordan Crawfords 34-footer over Giannis Antetokounmpo as the quarter expired. Crawford hit another 3-pointer at the start of the fourth to stretch the lead to 10, and the Warriors held on late. NOTES: The Warriors are 13-4 since the All-Star break, tied with San Antonio for the most wins during that time. ... Drew confirmed C Larry Sanders will not return this season because of a broken right orbital bone. Sanders was injured Feb. 8 against Houston and had surgery shortly afterward. ... The Bucks have lost 11 straight games when theyve allowed 100 points, while the Warriors have won 10 in a row when theyve scored 100 points. Puckhandling - from a goaltenders standpoint - is an underrated skill that can be more valuable than people realize. Dimitri Payet France Jersey . When it comes to exiting the zone cleanly, youre always aware of the way a team forechecks against you and the routes your defencemen run when coming back in. This week, Im looking at it from a starters standpoint - its the starter who handles the bulk of the games and the skaters get used to tendencies of the guy whos back there the most. My first ever goaltending partner in the NHL was Ron Hextall. He was - and still is to this day - the greatest puckhandling goalie of all time. Not only did he revolutionize the position, he singlehandedly changed the way goalies play (and are expected to play) when it comes to handling the puck and playing dump-ins. When I played with Ron, we would chart how many touches he had in a period with the puck outside the net. Then we kept track of how many positive and negative plays that were made with the puck. On average, I remembered him handling the puck anywhere from 15 to 20 times per period. And he had about an 80 per cent success rate on his decision-making - pretty impressive for someone who handles the puck that much. Now keep in mind - this is someone who literally had a better slap shot than some of our teammates and re-strung his catchers glove so that he could get a better grip on his stick. And that stick was curved with a blowtorch and shaved along the blade with a file - an unreal process to see in person. Hexys puckhandling was a lot different than your general leave it or play it decisions. He cleared the zone down the ice when we were killing penalties or made a saucer pass to hit someone at centre ice on a transition play to catch the other team on a change. Some high rate goaltenders today are certainly capable of doing it, but Ive never seen it with the consistency that Hextall had. That being said, there are really four generic plays that goaltenders use when it comes to getting out and stopping the puck behind the net or making a play/exchange with your blueliners. LEAVE IT: This is simply stopping the puck it and leaving it for the defenceman to come back and make a play with it. This ensures the puck a) isnt stuck against the boards on the edge and that b) youre leaving it in an area where a defenceman has options to turn up, cut the net for a clear exit or ring it hard around the boards for the winger. Thats usually communicated between the defeneeman in the goalie with the words, leave it. PLAY IT OR RING IT: Its where the goalie just rings it hard around the boards. Ninety-five per cent of it is done on the strong side - meaning a forehand shot thats usually up on the glass. The purpose is to beat the first forechecker, who most likely has pressure on the defence and is trying to cut the boards off. If you ring it hard on the forehand, youll likely get it past this first forechecker and the strong side winger will come back to retrieve it on the half wall. The worst-case scenario is a 50-50 battle with an opposing defenceman whos potentially pinching. This is usually communicated between defencemen and the goalie with the words, play it or ring it. REVERSE OR OVER: This is a reverse play where the defenceman will fan off to the other side of the net and the goalie draws a forechecker to him. Then the goaltender makes a snooker play - banking the play off the boards so that a defenceman still receives it where he can make an up-ice play where he doesnt have to dig it off the dasher of the boards. The call on this is usually the words, reverse or over. PASS IT: This is for the advanced goaltenders - a direct pass to a winger or centreman past the first forechecker. This is usually when the first defenceman back has drawn a forechecker very close to him. When that happens, theres a lane to get directly to the boards. This is more high risk and most goalie coaches will frown on that play - unless his starter is capable of making it consistently. There are certainly other set plays from team to team, depending on the starting goaltenders skill. But if the starter of your favourite team is consistent with these calls and strong with his exchanges with his blueliners, then puckhandling can become a very reliable source in exiting the zone cleanly. That said, there are different styles of puckhandlers as well: THE QUARTERBACK: These are guys who really skilled with the puck and are capable of making complex plays and direct passes. They can clear the zone in a penalty killing situation and are generally the best in the business in handling pucks. Were talking about Ben Bishop of the Tampa Bay Lightning, Arizonas Mike Smith, Washingtons Braden Holtby, Steve Mason of the Flyers, Pekka Rinne in Nashville and Montreals Carey Price. THE DISHER: These goalies are above-average at handling the puck, but dont play a risky game with it and usually stay within their comfort zone. Thats Kari Lehtonen of the Dallas Stars, Torontos Jonathan Bernier, Ottawas Craig Anderson, Marc-Andre Fleury in Pittsburgh, Anaheims Frederik Anderson and Tuukka Rask of the Boston Bruins. STOP AND LEAVE: Theyre very efficient at making the first three plays listed above. Their focus is to get in and out of the net very quickly, with average skills and puckhandling. This applies to Kings goaltender Jonathan Quick, Chicagos Corey Crawford, Semyon Varlamov of Colorado, Columbus Blue Jackets goalie Sergei Bobrovsky, Carolinas Cam Ward, Brian Elliott in St. Louis, New Jerseys Cory Schneider, Detroits Jimmy Howard, Ryan Miller of the Canucks and Minnesotas Darcy Kuemper. THE MINIMAL TOUCH: These goaltenders have limited puckhandling skills, as their focus is on stopping the puck and not handling it outside the net. Its just not a strength of their game. Starters under this category include Floridas Roberto Luongo, Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist, Ben Scrivens of the Oilers, Islanders netminder Jaroslav Halak, San Joses Antti Niemi, Ondrej Pavelec of the Winnipeg Jets, Calgarys Jonas Hiller and Buffalos Michael Neuvirth. Once again, this is one of the most important team skills that doesnt get enough attention consistently. Lassana Diarra Jersey . His head snapped back from the impact and hit the floor. The All-Star power forward was all right afterward, a relief for the Minnesota Timberwolves. Samuel Umtiti Jersey .Bekker was added Wednesday in exchange for allocation money after two seasons with Toronto. The native of Canada had 29 MLS appearances, including 16 starts. A tough time, so I was just trying to bring energy and be aggressive.Parker showed no lingering effects from the injury that kept him out of eight of the past nine games. He played 34 minutes, shooting 11 for 18 from the field and collecting four assists. He says he feels great, San Antonio coach Gregg Popovich said. Im scared to death about it, but Im just going to trust him. He has been around for a long time, and he doesnt want to reinjure himself. Hopefully, hes OK.Parker collected a steal on San Antonios opening defensive possession and made his initial jumper and first two free throws.Parkers ability to penetrate reinvigorated the Spurs ball movement, providing the good-to-great mantra that Popovich preached last season. San Antonio had a season-high 72 points in the first half, shooting 75 per cent while handing out 20 assists on its 30 baskets. They shot the lights outt (of) the ball tonight, said Clippers point guard Chris Paul said. Blaise Matuidi France Jersey. At the same time, youve got to try to impose your will on defence. (At) some point, you cant hope they miss, you have to make them miss.Paul had 25 points and nine assists, Blake Griffin added 22 points and J.J. Redick had 21 for the Clippers (19-9), who have lost four straight to San Antonio.Jamal Crawfords jumper tied it at 102 with 8:17 remaining, the first tie since the opening minute of the second quarter. The Spurs hit three 3-pointers after that, including Ginobili flipping a left-handed pass behind his head to Danny Green for a 115-106 lead with 4 minutes remaining. It was part of a rejuvenated performance by Ginobili, who shot an airball on a 3-pointer at the close of the third overtime against Memphis and had several untimely turnovers late while playing all three overtimes against the Grizzlies and Portland Trail Blazers.Thats why I felt pain for him, Parker said. I know usually we take turns on whos going to play the pick-and-rolls and whos going to create. All three overtimes it was him the whole time and so he was super tired. I felt bad for him.TIP-INSClippers: Paul had nine assists, giving him 6,387 to surpass former Lakers guard Norm Nixon (6,381) for 24th in league history. .
