TURIN, Italy - Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba has signed a new contract with the Italian giant, tying him to the Serie A club until 2019.Juventus confirmed the deal Friday, saying that chief executive Giuseppe Marotta had announced at a shareholders meeting that before coming here we signed Paul Pogbas contract extension which binds us until 2019.Pogbas previous deal was set to expire in 2016.The France international joined from Manchester United in 2012 and helped Juventus to two successive Serie A titles. The 21-year-old midfielder has been linked with moves to Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain, as well as a return to the Premier League. Ameer Abdullah Lions Jersey. -- Chris Crawford hit a 3-pointer with 1:36 left to put Memphis ahead to stay, and the 21st-ranked Tigers beat seventh-ranked Louisville 72-66 Saturday, sweeping the season series from the Cardinals. Travis Swanson Lions Jersey. -- Steven Stamkos scored his first goal since returning from a major injury, Ryan Callahan had his first goal with Tampa Bay, and the Lightning beat the Florida Panthers 5-4 on Thursday night. http://www.authenticnfllionslockroom.com/Youth-Golden-Tate-III-Elite-Jersey/. -- Canadian ski cross star Marielle Thompson accomplished two goals in one race Saturday. Haloti Ngata Lions Jersey.com) - The New York Islanders will try to solve their issues against Central Division opponents when they visit the Minnesota Wild for Tuesdays battle at Xcel Energy Center. Brandon Pettigrew Lions Jersey. According the CSNBayArea.com, the 31-year-old suffered an ACL injury in his right knee on Friday when he collided with Anaheims Emerson Etem during a pre-season game. MINNEAPOLIS -- The Minnesota Twins have found a replacement for Joe Mauer at catcher. The Twins and catcher Kurt Suzuki agreed to a $2.75 million, one-year contract on Friday, a person with knowledge of the agreement told The Associated Press. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because Suzuki has to pass a physical before the contract can be signed. Minnesota was in the market for a veteran catcher after announcing last month that Mauer was moving to first base. It was a difficult decision for Mauer, the two-time AL batting champion who always has felt his value to the team was highest when he was catching. But a concussion from a batted ball deflecting off his head on Aug. 19 ended his season and ultimately is what convinced Mauer to relent. The Twins had an opening at first base after trading Justin Morneau to Pittsburgh, so Mauer will take over for his long-time friend as the full-time first baseman. Once that decision was made, the Twins went into the free-agent market looking for a veteran who could handle a rrevamped pitching staff and give them some production at the plate.dddddddddddd They had conversations with A.J. Pierzynski and Jarrod Saltalamacchia, but both chose to sign elsewhere. Thats when the Twins turned their attention to Suzuki, who hit .232 with five homers and 32 RBIs for the Washington Nationals and Oakland Athletics last season. Hell be counted on to help integrate newcomers Ricky Nolasco and Phil Hughes to the starting rotation and bring along younger pitchers like Kyle Gibson and Alex Meyer. The 30-year-old Suzuki will also be tasked with mentoring prospect Josmil Pinto, who filled in nicely for Mauer at the end of last season. Pinto hit .342 with four homers in 21 games last season. But the 24-year-old Venezuelan has a long way to go when it comes to defence and calling a game, so Suzuki and bench coach Terry Steinbach will be there to help him along. Suzuki only threw out 12 per cent of base stealers last season, but has thrown out 26 per cent in his big league career. Wholesale Jerseys ' ' '

Ashburn, VA - Washington Redskins quarterback Colt McCoy will not play again this season because of a neck injury. Redskins coach Jay Gruden on Tuesday said McCoys injury is not considered long-term, but the team has placed the fifth-year pro on injured reserve. Gruden on Monday had said Robert Griffin III would start Saturdays game against the Philadelphia Eagles. McCoy suffered a neck strain two Sundays ago in a loss to St. Louis and aggravated the injury on the first offensive series last week in the 24-13 loss to the New York Giants. The Redskins are 3-11 and have lost six straight games since McCoy led the team to its most recent victories -- a Week 7 triumph over Tennessee and a Week 8 overtime win at Dallas. McCoy completed 91-of-128 passes for 1,057 yards with four touchdowns and three interceptions in five games this season, four of which were starts. cheap jerseys from china. Chris Heisey connected for his first grand slam and Devin Mesoraco homered and drove in a career high-tying four runs as Cincinnati took advantage of Tampa Bays depleted pitching staff for a 12-4 victory on Sunday. nfl jerseys china.Y. -- Phil Jackson lost out on his preferred coach, but hes working hard on keeping his star player. http://www.cheapnfljerseysfromchina.cc/. -- Without Carey Price, the run for a first Stanley Cup in 21 years got steeper and longer for the Montreal Canadiens. Wholesale jerseys from china.com) - Al Horford collected 19 points and 16 rebounds and the Atlanta Hawks held off a furious rally to beat the Detroit Pistons 106-103 on Friday night in a game between two of the NBAs hottest teams. cheap nfl jerseys. A lawmaker is hoping the buzz from California Chromes run for the Triple Crown might build support for a bill that would place the U.The Boston Bruins finish the 2013-2014 regular season on top of the TSN.ca NHL Power Rankings, ahead of the Chicago Blackhawks and San Jose Sharks. Even though they were playing in the weaker Eastern Conference, the Bruins finished on top of the league standings, with the leagues best goal differential and had four regulation losses in 28 games against the Western Conference, so they earned their way to the No. 1 ranking. Making late-season moves in the rankings, the Dallas Stars climbed from 13 to 10, their second-best ranking of the year (ranked ninth once in late November). The New Jersey Devils finished as the highest-ranked non-playoff team, thanks to relatively strong stats that were undone (in the standings) by an abysmal 0-13 record in the shootout, but they were up from 19 to 15 in the seasons final rankings. Heading the other way, the St. Louis Blues, who have been a Top Three team since October, have fallen to a season-low ranking of five, after losing six straight to end the season. Five could be generous if first-liners David Backes and T.J. Oshie arent ready to start the postsasson after suffering late-season injuries.dddddddddddd The Tampa Bay Lightning slide from 12 to 17, and its due to the arm injury suffered by goaltender Ben Bishop. Bishop has been such a big part of the Lightnings success this year, and the drop to backup Anders Lindback is so large, that Tampa Bay lost ground despite finishing the year with four straight wins. The Phoenix Coyotes were close to a playoff berth, but were winless in seven down the stretch, before a season-ending win against Dallas in a meaningless game, so the Desert Dogs drop from 15 to 19. It was a rough year for Canadian teams. The Montreal Canadiens finished as the highest-ranked club, at 11, 10 spots ahead of the Calgary Flames, who finished competitively over the final 40% of the season. The Winnipeg Jets, Vancouver Canucks, Ottawa Senators and Toronto Maple Leafs are, in order, from 23 to 26, while the Edmonton Oilers end the year at 28. NEW ORLEANS - The New Orleans Saints released veteran receiver Lance Moore on Friday. Before the move was announced, Moore all but confirmed it with a note on Twitter, writing, "Thank you New Orleans for an amazing nine years. Who Dat Nation, the best on earth!!!" Cutting Moore, who was due $3.1 million in base salary next season, marked the latest of several cost-cutting moves by the Saints as they seek to create space under the NFLs salary cap to work out a long-term extension with star tight end Jimmy Graham. In the past month, the Saints have cut defensive end Will Smith, safety Roman Harper and cornerback Jabari Greer, who were all starters on New Orleans 2009 Super Bowl team. In addition, the Saints have said they would not bring back free agent linebacker Jonathan Vilma, a former defensive captain who has been hampered by knee injuries in recent seasons. "Just like some of the decisions we made on the defensive side of the ball a few weeks ago, this move today is just as difficult," general manager Mickey Loomis said. "Lance was very important to our productivity on offence and our success as a team overall. ... You couldnt ask for more from Lance both on and off the field and we wish him the best of luck." Meanwhile, there were signs of more moves to come. Running back and return specialist Darren Sproles, due $3.4 million in base salary in 2014, wrote on Twitter: "Thank you New Orleans for your support over the past 3 years! I will always be forever grateful. #WhoDat" The NFL did not release any formal transactions involving Sproles and the Saints did not immediately comment on the significance of Sproles Twitter post. Sproles joined the Saints as a free agent in 2011, setting an NFL record for total yards in a season with 2,696. Last season, Sproles, who routinely catches passes out of the backfield, accounted for 604 yards and two touchdowns receiving to go with 220 yards and two TDs rushing. He returned 29 punts, with his longest return going for 28 yards, and ran back 12 kickoffs, none for more than 32 yards. Moore entered the NFL with Cleveland as an undrafted free agent out of Toledo in 2005 and joined the Saints practice squad later that season. "Lance Moore made a significant contribution to our teams success," Saints coach Sean Payton said. "While his production on paper is obvious, it only tells half the story. Lance came to us an undrafted rookie who went to NFL Europe and spent time on our practice squad. He went on to produce outstanding results on the field for us as a result of his work ethic, reliability and commitment to get better every day. Hes been one of the pillars of what we have built here as an organization." In 2008, he was New Orleans leading receiver with 79 catches for 928 yards and 10 touchdowns. While he was hurt for much of the 2009 season, he returned in time to help the Saints win their only championship. He made a difficult catch and dived for the pylon on a 2-point conversion that gave New Orleans a 24-17 lead over Indianapolis in the fourth quarter of the Super Bowl. The Saints went on to win by two touchdowns after Tracy Porters late interception return for a score. Moore had his last 1,000-yard season in 2012, when he made 65 catches for 1,021 yards and six TDs. Last season, however, Moore began to lose playing time to rookie receiver Kenny Stills and finished with 37 catches for 457 yards and two TDs, his lowest output in four seasons. Moore was due $3.1 million in base salary in 2014, so releasing him provides New Orleans more flexibility under the salary cap as it seeks to re-sign star free-agent tight end Jimmy Graham to a long-term extension. Keanu Neal Falcons Jersey. He entered college football an undersized, somewhat unknown quarterback from Kerrville, Texas. He leaves as a potential first overall pick, and one of the most dynamic, breath-taking players in college football history. Johnny Manziel declaring for the NFL draft means Texas A & M will have to find a new pivot. It also means college football will have to find a new folk-hero. The numbers Johnny Manziel put up in his all-too brief career read like a stat line from a video game. In a pair of seasons, Johnny Football threw for 7,820 yards, ran for 2,169, and accounted for 93 total touchdowns (63 passing, 30 running). Manziel fell just 11 yards short of becoming the first sophomore in NCAA history to accumulate 10,000 career yards. His 2012 season - in which he became the first redshirt freshman ever to win the Heisman – broke Cam Newtons single season SEC yardage record. His 2013 follow-up ranks second all-time. In all, Manziel set 35 school, conference, and NCAA records in two seasons in College Station. But more than the statistics, its the highlights themselves that blew everyone away. Time and again, Manziel did things on the field that made all of us look around and ask, "did that really just happen?" Who could forget his 2012 fumble-turned-touchdown in A & Ms 29-24 upset of eventual national champion Alabama? Or this past season against the Tide, when Manziel retreated 25 yards behind the line of scrimmage, escaped a defenders grasp and heaved a jump ball to Edward Pope for a first down. In the Chick-fil-A Bowl, Manziel delivered one final trademark moment, a scramble that became a hurdle that became a 19-yard touchdown pass. On the field, Manziel never shied away from the spotlight, delivering over and over in big games. In his two bowl games, Manziel accounted for 9 touchdowns, almost 1000 total yards, and a 72 percent completion rate. As a first-year SEC entrant, all but the most ardent Aggie supporters thought A & M would struggle in 2012. Instead, the 61" redshirt freshman from Tivy High led the Aggies to an 11-2 record that included the shocking upset of Alabama at Bryant-Denny, and a 41-13 blowout of Oklahoma in which Manziel set the Cotton Bowl record with 516 total yards. This past season against Bama, Manziel outdid himself, accounting for 562 total yards and five touchdowns. In his final game against Duke, he led his team back from a 21-point halftime deficit to a 52-48 win. He was named offensive MVP after completing 30 of 38 passes, throwing for 382 yards and four touchdowns, while rushing for a team-high 73 yards and a score. Manziels 455 total yards marked the ninth time in 26 games in which he amassed more than 450 total yards. In the 111 years in which Texas A & M has played major college football, only two other players have ever had a 450 yard game. Off the field, there were issues to be sure. Manziels 2012 Heisman campaign almost didnt happen. The 21-year-old was initially suspended by Texas A & M after a June 2012 arrest in connection with a fight in College Station. He has since pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor, but Manziel was only reinstated as a redshirt freshman after Sumlin wrote the administration on his behalf. This past season, Manziel was suspended for the first half of Texas A & Ms opener against Rice for inadvertently breaking NCAA rules by signing autographs, after he was alleged to have accepted money from memorabilia brokers to sign. Even after he returned to the field, he grabbed headlines by taunting players, making autograph gestures. But as much as he was a thorn in the side of college footballs governing body, Manziel was also a money maker for it. Just as likely to appear on TMZ as ESPN, Manziels games became appointment viewing more than any other player in the sport. Texas A & Ms September loss to Alabama drew an average of 13.6 million viewers, making it the second highest rated regular season game on the college football schedule. En route to their 9-4 record, the Aggies drew three of the top 15 television audiences of the season. Four separate times they had the highest rated game of the week. And with 8.69 million viewers, Manziels last game was the most viewed non-BCS bowl in ESPN history. Back in September, A & M announced that over the past 12 months, they raised $740 million in fundraising. Thats almost double the highest total raised in any other 12 month period in school history. With the NFL Draft less than four months away, JF is skyrocketing up draft boards. In his first mock draft of the year, draft guru Mel Kiper Jr. has the 21-year-old headed to the Texans as the first overall pick. No matter where he is drafted though, Manziel will continue to excite. No player in college football could turn nothing, into something spectacular, quite like the sophomore. When Manziel declared last week, Sumlin said of his quarterback, "in all of my years of coaching, [he] is the most exciting football player I have ever seen. The Toronto Argonauts announced on Tuesday that theyve extended All-Star offensive tackle Chris Van Zeyl through the 2016 season. "Chris came to us as a young, Canadian defensive lineman who had a very high athletic ceiling," said general manager Jim Barker in a release. "We have watched closely over the years as he has grown and established himself as one of the top offensive tackles in our league. We are very happy to extend his contract and keep him in Double Blue into the future." Van Zeyl was originally drafted by the Montreal Alouettes 17th-overall in the 2007 CFL Draft as a defensive lineman. He came to the Argos as a free agent the following September and was converted to right tackle. The 30-year-old native of Fonthill, Ontario has made 65 starts for the Argos and was a member of their Grey Cup-winning team in 2012. "I am thrilled to extend my contract with the Argonauts," said Van Zeyl in a release. "Since Ive been here, this team has made it a priority to fill our locker room with exceptional players, as well as excellent coaches from whom Ive learned so much. It is because of this commitment to excellence that I have been able to develop and flourish as a player here." BOSTON - Pablo Sandoval and Hanley Ramirez spent the last two seasons as NL West rivals. Now theyre teammates in Boston, the result of a $183 million spending spree the Red Sox are hoping will lift them out of the AL East cellar. Its exciting for me to be with Hanley and David Ortiz, Sandoval said Tuesday at Fenway Park after finishing up a five-year, $95 million contract that adds him to a lineup he called The Three Amigos.About five hours later, the Red Sox completed their day-night news conference doubleheader by announcing Ramirezs four-year deal, which is worth $88 million. A former Red Sox prospect, Ramirez was traded to the Marlins nine Thanksgivings ago in a deal that brought Mike Lowell and Josh Beckett to Boston. Why not go back where you belong? Ramirez said. It worked out for the both of us: You guys won a couple of world championships. I havent won any, but thats what Im here for.Sandoval helped the Giants win three titles, earning the World Series MVP in 2012 and the nickname Kung Fu Panda that helped cement him as a fan favourite. He thanked the Giants for bringing him up as a big leaguer and Giants fans for their support.I want a new challenge. I need a new challenge, he said at his afternoon news conference. I know that I had a great career in San Francisco. But Im going to have a new one here.Sandoval helps fill a hole in the Red Sox lineup for a third baseman and a left-handed bat. Ramirez, who played shortstop and a little third base with the Marlins and Los Angeles Dodgers, is expected to move to left field.Youre always trying to get a sense of where they might fit in, Red Sox manager John Farrell said. Were not even at Thanksgiving yet. The potential for some other additions might exist.Sandovals deal includes a team option for 2020 and Ramirezs contract has a vesting option for 2019.A 28-year-old Venezuelan listed at 5-foot-11 and 248 pounds, Sandoval was seen as a potential replacement at designated hitter when Ortiz retires. But Sandoval said he plans to manage his weight so he can remain in the field. Both players praised Ortiz, and Ramirez also said Dustin Pedroia helped recruit him to Boston. He said, Ive got two rings. You dont have any. I want some more, Ramirez said. That kind of thing pumps you up.Sandoval said Ortiz gave him advice when he was in the minor leagues that he has carried with him. Having a chance to play with Ortiz, who was the Series MVP in 2013, was a factor that attracted him to Boston. To be Papis teammate — 162 games, all that with him — for me, its going to be a very exciting time, said Sandoval, who had dinner with Ramirez on Monday night. Ramirez agreed, saying Ortiz was like a big brother to me.Sandoval is a career .294 hitter who had 16 homers and 73 RBIs in the regular season this year and then hit .366 in the post-season while helping the Giants win their third World Series in five years. He really embodies a lot of what we care about, Red Sox general manager Ben Cherington said. Hes been a big winner. Hes been a performer when it counts the most. Hes respected as a teammate, loves to play. We think he fits what were all about here. Were excited to have him.A 30-year-old infielder who has never played the outfield in 1,634 professional games, Ramirez batted .300 with 13 homers and 71 RBIs for Los Angeles this year. Cherington, who watched Ramirez learn to play shortstop in the minors, said he is confident Ramirez can take on a new position. For now, the Red Sox are overloaded with outfielders and short on pitchers, having acquired Allen Craig and Yoenis Cespedes at the July trade deadline while shipping off four-fifths of the rotation.Weve got a ways to go in the off-season, Farrell said.To clear the roster spots, the Red Sox designated first baseman-catcher Ryan Lavarnway and infielder Juan Francisco for assignment. Stephen Tulloch Lions Jersey. The tournament was set to be held Sept. 15-21 and would have been the first ATP tournament held in Israel since 1996. But amid Israels military campaign against Hamas militants in the Gaza Strip, ATP President Chris Kermode said "we do not feel we can proceed as planned given the situation in the region." "Ensuring the security of our players, fans and all those involved in organizing a world-class event, is our No. 1 priority," Kermode said in a statement. "We hope to be back in Tel Aviv next year. In the meantime, and much more importantly, we hope for a swift return to peace in the region." Asaf Tochmeir, the chairman of the Israeli Tennis Association, said he regretted the decision. "We at the ITA have done everything to ensure a successful ATP event takes place in Israel," Tochmeir said. "We have raised sufficient funding and have taken care of all organizational requirements. "On this occasion, I would like to express our most heartfelt concern for the soldiers as well as our condolences for the civilian casualties. BARCELONA, Spain -- Goalkeeper Victor Valdes may have played his last game for Barcelona after tearing a right knee ligament during Wednesdays league win over Celta Vigo at Camp Nou. Barcelona said the injury will require surgery, which would likely rule him out for the rest of the season. The 32-year-old Valdes has said he will leave Barcelona after this season when his contract expires. "This is painful news and is too high a price to pay for these three points," said Barcelona sports director Andoni Zubizarreta. Valdes right knee buckled when he came down after jumping to block a routine free kick. He managed to gather in the ball but then fell to the turf and called to be substituted. The Spanish international was carried to a cart and then shuttled off the pitch with his gloved hands covering his face. Backup Jose Pinto took his place in the 22nd minute with Barcelona leading 1-0. Barcelona went on to win 3-0 with two goals by Neymar and one by Lionel Messi. Valdes was taken to a hospital for tests that determined the severity of his injury. Valdes has played a crucial role in Barcelonas rise to the top of European football over the past decade. In his 12 seasons with Barcelonas first team, Valdes has won three Champions League crowns, six Spanish leagues, and two Copa del Rey titles, among various other trophies. Valdes was also expected to compete with Iker Casillas for the starting job for Spain at this summers World Cup. Barcelona is trying to defend its Spanish league title. It has also reached the final of the Copa del Rey and the quarterfinals of the Champions League. It will now have to rely on the 38-year-old Pinto as it reaches the final stretch of the campaign. Barcelona coach Gerardo Martino said that the club would not look to make an emergency move to replace Valdes, meaning the young and untested Oier Olazabal will serve as Pintos backup. "We wont sign a goalkeeper. We will finish the season with this group," Martino said. "I am not one to believe in bad luck, but at this stage of the season I thought everything that was to happen had already occurred. I was wrong. Its a big blow but this team has rolled with punches for some time now and we will pull through this." Pinto has played 15 games this season, with a record of 12 wins, one draw and two losses. He had played in the Copa del Rey and for Valdes in the league and Champions League when he was injured for eighth games earlier this season. Pinto gave his team, and the Camp Nou crowd, another scare in the second half when he slid into the goalframe, hitting his left knee on the upright. But after a brief spell gathering himself on the ground he was able to continue. The Bulls dominated from the get-go Saturday night and never trailed in a 96-78 win over the Wizards, avenging two losses from earlier in the season and providing perhaps a psychological edge if these teams are cranking up for a seven-game series in a couple of weeks. "It was definitely a statement game," Washington forward Drew Gooden said. "We were going in the mindset of this being a statement game, getting a possible matchup in the first round, and they took it the same way. They wanted to make a statement early." And they certainly did, holding the Wizards to 16 points in the first quarter and 10 in the second while building a lead that grew as large as 28 points. At one point, Washington was 0 for 7 from the 3-point line and 0 for 3 from the free throw line for the game, as well as 2 for 13 from the field in the second period. "They were taking shots they didnt want to take," Bulls forward Taj Gibson said. D.J. Augustin found plenty that he liked, as long as he was behind the arc. He led Chicago with 25 points, making 6 of 11 3-pointers but only 2 of 8 2-pointers. Joakim Noah had 21 points and 12 rebounds, and Carlos Boozer added 16 points for the Bulls, who have won five straight and are tied with the Toronto Raptors for the No. 3 seed in the Eastern Conference. Augustin has averaged 19.8 points during the winning streak. Unlike the Wizards, who freely talked about a rematch in the playoffs, the Bulls didnt want to think that far ahead. "We lost to these guys at home. We lost to them here. It was just getting this win tonight," Augustin said. "Were not looking forward to the playoffs just yet, but we wanted to come out tonight and do it for ourselves." John Wall scored 20 points, and Marcin Gortat had 19 for the Wizards, who sit in sixth place in the East. If they hold that spot, they would face the third-seeded team. Several Washiington players cited fatigue as an issue on the back end of a back-to-back, but coach Randy Wittman noted that Chicago played Friday night as well.dddddddddddd. It also didnt help that Trevor Ariza played through an illness and went 1 for 9 from the field. Wittman, however, said his team wasnt ready for the Bulls intensity and aggression. "You fight aggression with aggression," Wittman said. "And it was only a one-way fight tonight." One likely difference if the teams do meet again: Wizards forward Nene, out with a sprained left knee, is expected back for the playoffs. He played in the two early wins over the Bulls. "Nene gives us another facilitator," Wittman said. "And against a team like this you need another one. Nene was another guy that kind of can play like Noah does, up at the top with the ball in his hands. Thats not an excuse why we lost. Id love to have him back, though." It also didnt help that Trevor Ariza played through an illness and went 1 for 9 from the field. Id love to have him back, though." The Wizards made a run in the third quarter, scoring more points (35) in the period than they had in the entire first half (26). Walls 30-foot bounce pass to Trevor Booker on a fast break led to a dunk that pulled Washington within 11 and brought the crowd to its feet. But Noah took over and quickly squashed the rally. His three-point play started a 12-0 run early in the fourth quarter that put the game away. "We wanted to throw the first punch tonight, and I think we did a good job with that," Noah said. The veteran made four noteworthy saves to keep a clean sheet for the hosts. Cheap NFL Jerseys China.com) - James Harden put the Houston Rockets on his back and willed them to an overtime victory on Thursday. Cheap NFL Jerseys Chinese. LAKE ORION, Mich. -- Lance Ten Broeck chooses to carry a bag rather than swing a club for a living to make more money. If Ten Broeck can keep his lead at the U.S. Senior Open for two more days, though, he will more than double his highest annual income on a golf course. The full-time caddie for Tim Herron and part-time player shot a 68 Friday, putting him at 6-under 134 and one-shot ahead of first-round leader Tom Kite. Ten Broeck has a chance to make about $500,000 on Sunday after earning less than half that total in his best year as a caddie and when he made a career-best $146,568 in 1989 as a PGA Tour player. "Caddying is a lot easier than playing," he said. "Thats why you get paid more money to play." It wont be easy for Ten Broeck to cash in at the Champion Tours fourth of five majors because hes only a shot ahead of Kite, who has been sensational on his front nines at Indianwood. Ten Broeck is also two strokes in front of a pack of six that includes Tom Lehman, Corey Pavin and Bernhard Langer. "I figured I should be able to make the cut, but I never figured that Id be in the last group on Saturday," he said. Ten Broeck has a 36-hole lead for the first time in his playing career. He had a share of the lead after two rounds at the PGA Tours Hall of Fame classic in 1982 and he finished tied for 12th. The 56-year-old Ten Broeck finished tied for 71st at his only other Champions Tour event this year and estimates he plays about 25 rounds a year. "I guess that means Im well rested," he joked. Ten Broeck has been consistent thanks to a good tee-to-green game, shooting 34s on the front and back nines in the second round after carding 33s before and after the turn Thursday. Kite, meanwhile, took advantage of what is regarded as the easier nine -- the front -- with a U.S. Senior Open nine-hole record 28 in the first round and stood up to the challenging back nine with a 31 Friday. The combined 59 has offset a 4-over 39 on his second nine during the second round and a 37 after the turn Thursday. He had a bogey at No. 4 on Friday, a day after making an eagle on the same hole, and a birdie at No. 17, a day after a double-bogey there trimmed his lead to a stroke. Kites fourth bogey on his back nine at No. 9 dropped him into second place. "Its a sadistic game," the 62-year-old Kite said. "It drives us all crazy. As Harvey Penick said, Its such an easy game to play, its just such a hard game to play well. In a championship like this, were trying to play very well, and theyve given us a stern test on a golf course that is very tricky. The greens are very severe in a number of places." The USGA set up a relatively short course to be a test for the best 50-and-older golfers in the world by letting the rough grow thick and keeping the tight fairways dry and fast, making approach shots to quick, undulating greens difficult. It was tough enough to make the cut at 4-over 144, sending home notable players such as Hale Irwin (145) and Kenny Perry (149). Fred Couples (140) and Tom Watson (142) made it to the weekend, keeping fan favourites on a course that was filled Friday with people lining the ropes at the first significant golf tournament in southeast Michigan since Tiger Woods won the 2009 Buick Open. While many of the fans were likely stunned to see Ten Broeck atop the leaderboard, Kite insisted he wasnt shocked. Kite has known Ten Broeck since he was a standout golfer at Texas in the mid-1970s. The Chicagoan went on to play in 349 PGA Tour events, finishing a career-best second at the 1991 Chattanooga Classic in one of his 10 top-10 finishes. "I played a bunch of golf with Lance when he was in Austin," Kite recalled. "Hes had so much talent for so many years and to a lot of peoples minds, didnt take advantage of all the talent that he has." The 13-year veteran caddie, who has been on the bag for Jesper Parnevik and Robert Allenby in the past, said the only break he has had with his day job the past nine weeks allowed him to play at the Principal Charity Classic in June. He has done both of his jobs at the same tournament in the past, playing and caddying in the 2009 Texas Open and 2008 Reno-Tahoe Open. The youngest of eight kids in a golf-loving family has his 26-year-old son, Jonathan, on his bag this week. Ten Broeck insisted dealing with nerves wont be a challenge when hes in the spotlight Saturday, but said his son will have to help him calm down when he gets angry. "Usually when I get mad, he wants to go hide," he said. "We havent worked on that yet." Tony McDaniel Seahawks Jersey. Thomas Vanek broke out of his scoring slump with the Montreal Canadiens in a big way. The Habs hope their recently-acquired winger can stay hot on Thursday night in a home matchup with the Columbus Blue Jackets. Catch the action on TSN Habs starting at 7:30pm et/ 4:30pm pt. The Canadiens acquired Vanek from the New York Islanders prior to the trade deadline in an effort to upgrade their offense for a playoff push. However, Vanek failed to score a goal in his first five games with Montreal, held to just a single assist. The two-time 40-goal scorer finally broke out in Tuesdays big 6-3 win over the Colorado Avalanche, netting a hat trick to spoil Patrick Roys return to Montreal. Roy made his first appearance in Montreal as head coach of the Colorado Avalanche and received a warm reception early in the game before Vanek stole the show. "It was unbelievable," Vanek said of his three-goal night. "This place is electric." Brandon Prust had a goal and an assist for the Canadiens, who have won three in a row. Travis Moen and Dale Weise also lit the lamp, while Carey Price made 25 saves. Prust will sit out tonights contest with an upper-body injury after skating for only 10 minutes at Thursdays morning skate. Ryan White draws into the lineup in his place. Montreals current win streak has it tied for second place with the Tampa Bay Lightning in the Atlantic Division with 83 points. That is three ahead of the fourth-place Toronto Maple Leafs. Columbus is also pushing for a playoff bid as it sits two points behind the New York Rangers for third place in the Metropolitan Division. The Blue Jackets are also even with the Washington Capitals with 76 points, but have two games in hand to hold the current tiebreaker for the second wild card position in the Eastern Conference. The Blue Jackets were riding a seven-game point streak going into Tuesdays home matchup with the Carolina Hurricanes and fell in defeat 3-1. Columbus was nearly shut out before Boone Jenner lit the lamp with 50 seconds to go, deflecting Ryan Johansens shot past Carolina goaltender Anton Khudobin. Still, the Blue Jackets fell to 6-1-1 in their last eight games. Sergei Bobrovsky gave up three goals on 20 shots through two periods, while Curtis McElhinney did not face a shot in the third period during his relief appearance. Columbus outshot Carolina 19-0 in the third period. "We attempted 79 (shots) -- 47 were on net," said Blue Jackets coach Todd Richards. "It seemed like we had some quality chances. We hit a couple posts. We had our opportunities." The Blue Jackets activated forward Jared Boll from injured reserve on Wednesday. He had missed the past 45 games due to a torn ankle tendon suffered in late November. The 27-year-old scored one goal and racked up 38 penalty minutes in 21 games before suffering the injury. The Blue Jackets have lost both of their previous meetings with the Canadiens this season, including a 5-3 loss in Montreal on Oct. 17. Germain Ifedi Seahawks Jersey. Johnson, the beneficiary of a couple perfectly placed passes, capped off the sequence with a tomahawk slam that put Toronto on top by 20 points. Fouled on the landing, Johnsons momentum carried him into the first row, where he proudly pointed to the team name on his jersey and slapped hands with fans seated on the baseline. It was that kind of night. The proceedings began with the unveiling of a second Atlantic Division Championship banner and concluded with a well-deserved standing ovation just over two hours later. The Raptors - trotting off the court following a 110-100, wire-to-wire win over the Bucks - had set a new franchise record with their 48th victory of the season, while also going 15 games above the .500 mark for the first time in team history. "Its definitely great because we fed off our fans," said DeMar DeRozan, who stood centre court and counted down from three, as the banner was uncovered from the rafters atop Air Canada Centre, hanging adjacent to the one they had earned in 2006-07. The final home game of the season - Fanapolooza, as its been dubbed - had been a somber event for five years running. It was an opportunity for the Raptors loyal, albeit frustrated supporters to come bid farewell to a team that had let them down, a chance to vent their disappointment but mostly to guzzle up free t-shirts, pizza and whatever swag the remorseful organization was offering up. Most importantly, it meant the end of basketball in Toronto for another long summer. Not the case on Monday. Monday night was a celebration, a show of appreciation from a starved fan base to a team that has captured their admiration with resilience and hard play. It was a night of reflection, looking back at where they came from and rejoicing in what theyve accomplished. It wasnt a goodbye. Theyll see them again in five or six days. "Weve got to have some of the most devoted fans in the league," he continued. "Ive been here through the struggles and tough times and our fans were still right there with us on this journey. So it definitely felt good to share it with them because they played a major part in it as well." Although DeRozan was in uniform, available to play if it would have come to that, he was given the night off to rest going into his playoff debut next weekend. As it turns out, they didnt need him, not against the league-worst Bucks on Monday night. It was the 11th time theyve played without a member of their first unit - a group that has won more games than any starting five in franchise history - and the 11th time theyve come away victorious. With the Raptors all-star guard cheerleading from the sidelines, Greivis Vasquez started in his stead, pacing the team with 25 points and seven assists. "It was a fun win," said Vasquez, who knocked down his first six shots, five of them from beyond the arc. "They gave me a chance to start, I just went out there and did my job." Performances like his, like Tyler Hansbroughs double-double in 20 minutes, are a big part of whats gotten them to this point.dddddddddddd DeRozan has carried this team more often than not, so too has Lowry - who scored 16 of his 24 points in the second half - but when one or both have needed it, someone has generally been waiting and ready to back them up. "All it takes is the right chemistry, the right group of guys and you can do whatever it takes," DeRozan said. "You dont need no big name players, you dont need this, that and the third, what people supposedly say you need. Were proof of that and we continue to keep growing, keep learning and keep building. On to the next step." The next step, as the Raptors leading scorer puts it, is Wednesdays regular season finale in New York. With a win over the Knicks, Toronto would lock down the Eastern Conferences third seed and face whomever slots into sixth, most likely Washington. The Raptors would fall to fourth and play the fifth place team - likely Brooklyn - if they should lose on Wednesday and the Bulls defeat the Bobcats in Charlotte. "Im more worried about us, more so than who we play," said Casey. "Its about us, about our health, the rest, whatever we decide to do in that situation. If we play Brooklyn we play Brooklyn. If we play Washington we play Washington. There are no easy teams left in the playoffs right now. All of the teams are very capable. Brooklyn is probably more playoff-ready. But we cant control that. And Im not going into [Wednesdays] game trying to control that." The Raptors coach said he has not decided whether DeRozan - second in the NBA in minutes logged this year - will play in Wednesdays season finale. Home sweet home The Raptors will finish the season with 26 wins at home for the fourth time in franchise history. After dropping eight of their first 12 games at the ACC, they have become one of the toughest teams to beat on home court, winning 22 of 29 since the end of December. "Coach definitely stressed to us, weve got to protect home court," DeRozan said of the turnaround. "Thats big. We cant let teams come in here and think they can get wins. We really started taking it personally, understanding weve got to use our crowd to our advantage. Everybody bought in, so every time we were home we felt comfortable and felt that we could get any win." "I think our guys have gotten better, matured, improved, I think more than anything else," Dwane Casey said of their success at home. "You should have the same approach whether youre on the road, playing on the moon, wherever youre playing youve got to have the same approach and our guys have done a good job of that, whether were on the road or at home." They were undefeated, 19-0 in games they led going into the fourth quarter in Toronto, something that should serve them well as they go into the first round of the playoffs with home-court advantage. The stat With their fourth straight win over Milwaukee, the Raptors swept the season series with the Bucks for the first time in team existence. The quote "We had group at the start of the season that was motivated, dedicated to winning," said Lowry, "and when everything didnt pan out we made a move and we got a group of guys who came in that really filled the voids that we needed. Everyone is on the same page. Wholesale Jerseys ' ' '

The NHLs Mar. Chris Canty Ravens Jersey . 5 Trade Deadline is drawing closer and teams will be deciding on whether to buy or sell while figuring out which players can make the biggest difference and hold the greatest value. Check out todays trade-related reports and speculation from around the NHL beat. And follow TSN.ca through Deadline Day for all the updates. Miller Time TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun writes on ESPN.com that Buffalo Sabres general manager Tim Murray is already hearing calls for his pending unrestricted free agents. "Were just starting to explore the market the last day or two," Murray said. "Ive had some calls, and most of the calls are just generalities: If I can meet your demand, would you be willing to move him? So you have teams calling, for sure, and theyre asking about different players. Every team has a different need; the same names come up, obviously, as far as the forwards go. My mandate here is to get better. I dont want a five-year rebuild, thats not what Im about. Its about getting better, and if that means trading guys and getting assets for them, then thats the way it will be." Murray is also considering all of his options with pending UFA Ryan Miller, including the possibility of re-signing him. LeBrun adds that if Miller isnt interested in staying, Murray will move him at the trade deadline. Sticking With The Tandem Michael Traikos of The National Post writes that Toronto Maple Leafs general manager Dave Nonis admitted that he has been received several calls regarding goaltenders Jonathan Bernier and James Reimer, but has no intentions to break them up right now. "I havent thought that too far, but could I see a scenario where both goalies were back next season? Yes," he told the paper. "Weve gone this far because of our goaltending. Jon is on a bit of a roll, but James has been really good for us. "I would never write James Reimer off." Oilers Options Jonathan Willis writes in the Edmonton Journal that while a skilled veteran forward like Ales Hemsky could be appealing to another NHL team, the Oilers have needs (size up front and blue line help) that the return on trading Hemsky trade wont address. Willis suggests a player like Jordan Eberle or Nail Yakupov – younger players with attractive contracts right now - would be more helpful. Time To Talk? Newsdays Arthur Staple writes that contract talks could begin soon between the Thomas Vaneks agent and the New York Islanders. If Vanek isnt willing to re-sign a long-term deal, Staple thinks theyll dangle him at the trade deadline. Staple adds that theres been talks between the Islanders and soon-to-be UFA blueliner Andrew MacDonald. Staple says hes seeking a contract at about $5 million per season. Lardarius Webb Ravens Jersey . The team announced that it exercised the options on 15 players including goalkeepers Evan Bush, Maxime Crepeau and Troy Perkins, defenders Matteo Ferrari, Karl W. "Try to see the ball and put the ball in play," he said. Martin slapped a single just past the glove of a diving Kyle Seager at third base, scoring Luis Sardinas from second with the go-ahead run and the Rangers held on for a 4-3 win over Seattle on Saturday night, extending the Mariners losing streak to five games. Luis Sardinas singled off Fernando Rodney (1-3) with one out in the ninth and moved to second on a groundout. Martin, who reached base three times as manager Ron Washingtons latest test in the leadoff spot, followed with the game-winning hit, which scored Sardinas without a play at the plate. "If you put the ball in play, good things can happen, and it did for us tonight," Washington said. "They dont quit. They play nine innings and they continue to play baseball no matter what happens out there. No matter what happens out there, they continue to play baseball." Despite allowing an inherited runner to score after allowing a bases-loaded RBI single to Robinson Cano in the seventh, Neal Cotts (2-3) limited the damage and earned the win with 1 2-3 innings of four-strikeout relief. Joakim Soria pitched a perfect ninth for his 15th save in 16 chances. The late run spoiled a win for Texas starter Joe Saunders, who was in line for his first victory of the season in his fourth start after coming off the disabled list. Saunders allowed two runs in six innings. "For me, its about getting deeper into games," Saunders said. "I felt like I had good stuff tonight, couldve been better. So its still, in my mind, a little bit of a work in progress. But made some good strides tonight." The Rangers had to rally early in the game after falling behind 1-0 in the fifth. Shin-Soo Choo singled off reliever Danny Farquhar to open the sixth and scored when Adrian Beltre followed with a double into the left-field corner, tying the game. Jimmy Smith Ravens Jersey. . After a pair of strikeouts, Robinson Chirinos put Texas ahead with a two-run home run to left field. Farquhar came on for Erasmo Ramirez, who had skirted danger in five scoreless innings. Ramirez allowed just three hits, but struggled with his command and walked four. The right-hander allowed seven baserunners and threw 89 pitches. The Mariners took the lead in the fifth when Stefen Romero hit a sacrifice fly to left to score John Buck from third. Buck led off the frame with a single and moved to third when Seager followed with a base hit. The run snapped a 13-inning scoreless streak for the Mariners. Seattle added a run in the sixth when Buck scored Cano from second with a single. The call at the plate was confirmed after a review. The Mariners were not able to capitalize on opportunities, though, and multiple runners stranded in the three separate innings. "Weve lost some tough games here at home," Willie Bloomquist said. "Were playing hard, just not coming up with that big hit when we need it." NOTES: Sundays series finale will feature Mariners RHP Hisashi Iwakuma and Rangers RHP Nick Martinez. ... The umpires reviewed four calls: two in the first, one in the sixth and one in the seventh. Leonys Martin was originally called safe in an attempt to steal second, but it was overturned. A 2-2 count to Adrian Beltre was also reviewed, and upheld. A ruling that Robinson Cano was safe at home in the sixth was confirmed. Elvis Andrus was originally called out at first in the seventh after being involved in a rundown, but the call was reversed. ... Seattles Jesus Montero, a former top prospect, made his first appearance since being suspended 50 games for his connection to the Biogenesis performance-enhancing drug investigation last year. TAMPA, Fla. Custom Baltimore Ravens Jersey . -- Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston has no plans to stop being a two-sport man. "Im just 20-years old," Winston said Tuesday after Florida State lost 8-3 in the New York Yankees spring training opener. "This is my life, man. I want to play both as long as I can. I love both of them. Ive got a strong passion for both." Florida States quarterback in the fall, Winston went 0 for 2 in the Seminoles exhibition game against the Yankees. He grounded out to second base while facing Shane Greene in the sixth and struck out looking on a full-count pitch from Bryan Mitchell two innings later. "Obviously, hes a great talent," Yankees manager Joe Girardi said. "I guess he had a football injury in the championship game which kept him from hitting for a while. But hes just starting to pick up the bat again. I guess he had torn a ligament in his left index finger." Winston has made three scoreless appearances as a closer this season but didnt get a chance to pitch against his favourite baseball team. Seminoles coach Mike Martin said Winstons arm was a little tender after his outing Saturday. "There were really not any plans for him to pitch," Martin said. "Not throwing today gives him Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday off before he pitches again. We felt that would be the best way to approach it." Florida State plays Miami on Friday. Winston played in the field twice previously this year, getting a hit in his lone at-bat. Against Greene, the 6- foot-4, 230-pound sophomore got a big cheer from the announced crowd of 7,708 at Steinbrenner Field after shattering his bat on foul grounder. "The favourite part of the day was just being out here," Winston said. "Being around a bunch of big league guys, and they proved it. They beat us." Winston talked with his favourite player, Derek Jeter, calling the meeting "surreal." Winston said playing for the Yankees "would be a dream come true." "I guess it feels like when I talk to little kids, how they feel sometimes," Winston said. "Theyre speechless, and thats how I was with Jeter." Winston led the Florida State football team to the national championship in a 34-31 victory over Auburn on Jan. 6. "Im focusing on getting our guys to the College World Series," he said. The Montreal Canadiens and restricted free agent defenceman P. Ronnie Lott Raiders Jersey .K. Subban ventured into uncharted territory in contract negotiations on Friday morning, as both sides met in Toronto for their scheduled salary arbitration hearing. In a four-hour closed door meeting, appointed arbitrator Elizabeth Neumeier heard both sides on their respective cases for the salary numbers and will announce the award within 48 hours. "Its been an educational process for me," Subban told reporters after the meeting without revealing its details. "I will move on from today and get ready for the season. We have to live with those decisions." Canadiens general manager Marc Bergevin declined to talk to reporters as he walked out of the meeting. According to reports, the Canadiens submitted their arbitration brief this week with a salary of $5.25 million on a one-year contract, while Subban - represented by agent Don Meehan of Newport Sports - is asking for $8.5 million. The arbitrator can choose either of the bids or set the one-year salary somewhere in between. A negotiated settlement between Subban and the Canadiens can still occur at any time before the arbitration ruling is handed down. Otherwise, the arbitration award is binding once its announced. Subban is eligible to become a restricted free agent with arbitration rights again next summer and is two years away from becoming an unrestricted free agent. However, both sides will be allowed to negotiate a new deal after January 1. Subban, who signed a two-year deal worth an average annual value of $2.875 million prior to the 2012-2013 season, scored 10 goals and added 43 assists in 82 games with the Canadiens in 2013-14. He also added five goals and 14 points in 17 playoff games and was part of the Canadian mens Olympic team that won gold in Sochi in February. Subban was awarded the 2013 Norris Trophy as the NHLs top defenceman after notching 11 goals and 27 assists in 42 games. Drafted in the second round (43rd overall) in 2007, Subban has scored 42 goals and 167 assists in 284 career games. CALGARY -- A preoccupied Canadian womens hockey team fell 5-1 to the United States on Thursday as the Canadians tried to come to grips with the sudden resignation of their head coach. Canada wasnt in the game from the outset. Head coach Dan Church left Calgary in the morning without addressing the players. He told The Canadian Press he felt the organization lacked confidence in his ability to defend the Olympic gold medal in February. Assistant coaches Danielle Goyette and Lisa Haley are co-coaching the team until Churchs replacement is named. The loss snapped Canadas three-game winning streak against the Americans since losing to the them in this years final at the world championship in April. Canada mustered just 10 shots on U.S. goalie Jessie Vetter in the first two periods and 16 overall at the Markin MacPhail Centre in Calgary. Alex Carpenter, Brianna Decker, Hilary Knight and Meghan Duggan scored with Megan Bozek adding an empty netter for the U.S. Defenceman Tara Watchorn scored the lone goal for Canada after they fell behind 3-0. Goaltender Shannon Szabados stopped 24-of-28 shots. "It was an emotional day," Montreal forward Caroline Ouellette said. "A lot of different feelings around the team. "I suspect thats always the case when a head coach steps down in the NHL. Its just never happened to us. I think we have some people who are feeling mixed emotions. "Thats not an excuse. We clearly were not the better team tonight. Theres a lot of areas of our play that were exposed and that we werent good at. Our passing wasnt sharp, our changes, and those are details we cannot have go that bad. "Maybe we were cruising a little bit having three successful games against them. They took what made us successful in the past games and shoved it at us. They were better on the forecheck and quicker on loose pucks." Goyette, who won gold medals in womens hockey with Canada in 2002 and 2006, pointed out major distractions can happen at the Olympics and the team must learn to play through it. "Any situation like that can happen at the Olympics," she said. "It could happen at the world championship. If something happens really major, we have to be able to turn the switch for two and a half hours and play the game and ttake care of business. Matt McGloin Raiders Jersey. " Canadas all-time leading scorer Hayley Wickenheiser suffered a lower-body injury on her second shift. The forward went down in the neutral zone, got up slowly and skated in pain to the bench. She briefly returned to the ice late in the first period, but did not appear the rest of the game. "The doctor had a quick look at her," Haley said. "She doesnt feel its anything too serious. Obviously theyre going to take another look at it tomorrow to see how it responds, but everybody is pretty optimistic its going to be a day-to-day thing." Canada and the U.S. scheduled six exhibition games against each other prior to the Winter Olympics in Sochi. Canada won the first two and also beat the Americans 4-2 in the preliminary round of the Four Nations Cup tournament in November. The two sides meet again Dec. 20 in Grand Forks, N.D., Dec. 28 in St. Paul, Minn., and Dec. 30 in Toronto. The U.S. was also upset 3-0 by Finland in the Four Nations tournament, so they were highly motivated to beat Canada at home on Thursday. The Americans have individual speed and skill, which makes them lethal on the power play. They scored twice with a man advantage. "Weve just been working on getting better," U.S. head coach Katey Stone. "We need to get better in our end. That has been the primary focus since November, honestly. Not throwing pucks around and chasing pucks. Trying to possess as many pucks as we can and working our way up the ice zone by zone. "It sounds really dull, but its paying dividends for us. Weve got plenty of kids who are creative offensively, explosive offensively. We let them go, but weve got to take care of their own end." Canadas team game has been superior because the women play high-tempo games against male midget triple-A teams. But the host teams game was disjointed Thursday. "We have to respect Dan Churchs decision, but at the same time we have to go to work," Goyette said. "But, hey, were human. Right now its difficult for the team and difficult for everybody around the team "Tonight it was hard to focus, but we cant use that as an excuse. I dont think we played the game tonight. I think we were watching the game and it cost us." Wholesale NFL Jerseys ' ' '

John Wall scored 23 points to lead the Wizards, but he went scoreless in the fourth and received little help from his teammates. Washington had won eight of its previous 10 and began the day in fifth, one-half game ahead of the Brooklyn Nets. Bobcats-Wizards late in the season is usually more about pingpong balls than playoffs, but Washington is closing in on its first post-season berth since 2008 and Charlotte is nearly there for the first time since 2010. Fittingly, they were evenly matched, a good sign for their two meetings yet to come on March 31 and April 9. Neither team led by more than six until Wall fouled Walker while Walker was attempting a 3-pointer with 4:34 to play. Walker was awarded three free throws, and Washington coach Randy Wittman was called for a technical foul after the second attempt. Walker made the technical, then made the last of his quartet of free throws to put the Bobcats ahead 87-80. Wall compounded matters for the Wizards by missing two free throws a half-minute later. Walker then hit a hang-in-the-air 3-pointer with the shot clock running down to make it a 10-point lead. The Bobcats closed the game with a 15-5 run. Henderson missed the previous five games with a strained right calf, and his return -- while welcome -- had potential chemistry issues to the point where coach Steve Clifford called a pregame team meeting to address players roles going forward. Henderson would start against the Wizards, Clifford told the team, but Chris Douglas-Roberts would continue to get substantial playing time based on matchups against certain opponents. Douglas-Roberts had played well in Hendersons absence, scoring in double figures in four of five games. Douglas-Roberts played 21 minutes off the bench Wednesday night and scored 10 points. Henderson, meanwhile, looked plenty healthy when he exploded for a one-handed jam in the first quarter. Wall had the only sure hand for the Wizards. He went 10 for 19 from the field, while everyone else was 25 for 63. Perhaps a sign of Wall trying too hard: He got reckless trying for one-handed driving dunk late in the third quarter and was called for a charge as he crashed onto the floor. This week, they discuss the NFL and marijuana, Canadian world champion boxer Bermane Stiverne, Steve Kerrs choice for head coach and FIFA backtracking on Qatar 2022. Dave Naylor, TSN Radio 1050: My thumb is up to the National Football League which - according to reports this week - is planning to soften its penalties for players who test positive for marijuana. Look, even if youre part of the minority which still believes pot should be illegal, its not hard to see the hypocrisy here. The NFL is a down-and-dirty league, where all kinds of nasty stuff happens and players are often welcomed back to the field despite risky and dangerous behavior. And yet, as of now, Clevelands Josh Gordon will miss this coming season because he did something that is legal in two states and which many believe is a safer way to manage the pain associated with pro football than popping pills. What would the NFL be like if the league stopped testing for weed altogether? Well, we have a pretty good idea because in Canada the CFL does not list marijuana as a banned substance. And frankly, no one cares. The NFL has followed the CFLs lead when it comes to the forward pass, two-point converts and a few other things … its time to follow its lead on pot as well. Steve Simmons, Sun Media: My thumb is up Bermane Stiverne, and if you dont know the name, youre not alone. A week ago, Stiverne, the Haitian-born Montreal-raised boxer, won the WBC heavyweight championship. Once upon a time, that was a title that began with Sonny Liston and moved through Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier and Larry Holmes and George Foreman and Mike Tyson and another Canadian of other countries, Lennox Lewis. It was the title of all titles not just in boxing, but in all of sport: heavyweight champion of the world. Wholesale jerseys from china. Somewhere in time that disappeared, just not the history; now its Stivernes time, after his sixth round stoppage of Chris Arreola in Los Angeles. He might be like Trevor Berbick, a one and done champion. But after all these years, we still remember Berbicks name. Michael Farber, Sports Illustrated: My thumb is up to Steve Kerr for a wise choice. Offered coaching positions with the Knicks and Warriors, the broadcaster took door no. 2, Golden State. The job might not be all rainbows and lollipops because Warrior players are angry former coach Mark Jackson was fired, but it is a better option than Madison Square Garden, the worlds most famous asylum. Kerr wont have to answer to bullying owner James Dolan or face inevitable second-guessing from Knicks president Phil Jackson, a fair coach himself. Golden state provides Kerr with a more talented roster and a better family situation, but mostly if offers a truly precious commodity - sanity. Dave Hodge, TSN: My thumb is down to soccers world governing body, FIFA for managing to sound dumber than its president, Sepp Blatter. Blatter has finally admitted that the selection of Qatar as the site of the 2022 World Cup was a mistake, which, until now, has been obvious to all but FIFA, because if the summertime heat makes it dangerous to watch a soccer match, its probably not a good idea to play in one. But, said Blatter, people do make mistakes. Well, an embarrassed FIFA spokesman tried to distance the organization from Blatters remarks by claiming that Blatter never actually said that Qatar was the wrong choice, which means that Blatter meant...... FIFA made the right choice and it was a mistake. They cant even stand this heat. Wholesale NFL Jerseys ' ' '

ST. Tom Savage Jersey . LOUIS -- Cincinnati scratched pitcher Mat Latos from an injury rehabilitation start due to right elbow irritation and placed reliever Trevor Bell on the 15-day disabled list with an aching right elbow. The Reds also activated right-hander Jonathan Broxton from the disabled list following his recovery from a right forearm injury. Manager Bryan Price said Tuesday that Broxton will be the stand-in closer in place of injured Aroldis Chapman. "Id love to be able to get him into a ballgame where he just starts an inning and gets his feet wet," Price said. "If I could, Id like to get him into a game that wasnt the ninth inning for his first game, but you never know. He definitely will be our closer once we get him re-acclimated, and that might be maybe one outing." Price said he didnt believe Latos injury was serious but also said the team will take a conservative approach and reschedule a rehab appearance after the soreness was gone. The elbow bothered Latos, who had been set to pitch for Triple-A Louisville at Columbus after he threw in the bullpen Sunday. "Certainly in the next couple days we should know a lot more," Price said. A 14-game winner in each of the last two seasons, Latos is recovering from right elbow surgery last October and left knee surgery in mid-February. Price said its the first time during his rehab that the soreness has persisted. Bell was sent back to Cincinnati to be examined by team physician Dr. Timothy Kremchek. The right-hander reported pain after pitching in relief Monday in St. Louis, allowing two runs and four hits in two-thirds of an inning in a 5-3 loss. Price, the Reds pitching coach the previous four years, didnt know anything was wrong until after Bell was taken out. In two games, Bell has allowed five runs in two-thirds of an inning. He was among three non-roster players who made the opening day roster. Keshawn Martin Texans Jersey . The NFC East rivals will battle in the regular season finale and the winner will claim a division title. The action can be seen on TSN at 7:30pm et/4:30pm pt. Catch Football Night in America on TSN2 at 7pm et/4pm pt. The Eagles last won the NFC East in 2010 and the Cowboys were division winners in 2009, when they beat the Eagles in Week 17 and in the Wild Card round of the playoffs. Dallas put itself in position for an NFC East title by outlasting the Washington Redskins, 24-23, Sunday at FedEx Field. One week after blowing a 23-point halftime lead versus Green Bay, the Cowboys displayed resilience and poise in the nations capital and oft-criticized quarterback Tony Romo battled through back pain to throw a game-winning 10-yard TD pass to DeMarco Murray with 1:08 remaining in the game. Romo scrambled on that balky back and fired a pass to Murray, who barreled into the right side of the end zone for his second touchdown of the game. It appeared Romo suffered a knee injury late in the fourth quarter, but he later revealed it was his back that bothered him. "I tweaked it in the game," Romo said after the Cowboys erased a 23-14 deficit. "For whatever reason, just the twist or whatever that was, definitely just made it not feel comfortable." The back issue is worse than anticipated for Romo and he will miss the rest of the season after undergoing surgery to repair the problem. Romo received an epidural injection this week to deaden the pain, but it couldnt prevent him from going under the knife. "We spent the week exhausting all options regarding Tonys situation, treatment, rehab all the different things. We consulted a lot of different people on this," Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett said. "We just felt like, as we discussed it, as yesterday wore on, that this was the best decision for him and our organization moving forward. We felt like it was better to have this done sooner rather than later." Romo, who agreed to a six-year, $108 million contract extension with $55 million in guarantees and a $25 million signing bonus in the offseason, threw for 3,828 yards with 31 touchdowns and 10 interceptions in 15 games. Backup Kyle Orton will get the start and newly signed Jon Kitna will serve as his backup versus the Eagles. Orton has seen action in one game this season, passing for 40 yards and completing 3-of-5 passes in a loss at Chicago. Orton achieved success in his career with Chicago and Denver, and offensive coordinator Bill Callahan has confidence in the former Purdue star. "I think hes done a fantastic job with his preparation," Callahan said. "Leading up to this point, I think hes done tremendous, so I think its seamless in terms of transition and what hes done." Meanwhile, Murray basically carried the Cowboys past the rival Redskins. Murray ran for 96 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries and caught three passes for 15 yards and that big score at the end. He has rushed for at least 80 yards in five of the last six games, averaging 102.3 rushing yards per game in that time. Murray eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark for the first time in his career. "Its a great opportunity to be here. A lot of teams ... their season is done right now," Murray said. "We have the opportunity to win this next one and move on." The Cowboys were in that position last season, but dropped a 28-18 decision at Washington and were home for the playoffs for a third straight year. They lost to the Giants in 2011 in Week 17 as well. Dallas ended a two-game losing streak and won for the third time in five weeks. It has won at least eight games for a third year in a row. Philadelphia has vastly exceeded last seasons win total of four games (4-12) with a 9-7 mark after destroying the Chicago Bears, 54-11, Sunday night at Lincoln Financial Field. The Eagles were pegged to win maybe five or six games under first-year head coach Chip Kelly, but are in position to win the division and host a playoff game. They came out firing off the jump versus a Bears team looking to secure an NFC North title and led 21-0 after the first quarter. The game had no meaning for the Eagles as far as wrapping up a division is concerned, but they played tough for 60 minutes and racked up 514 yards of offense. Eagles running back and NFL rushing leader LeSean McCoy (1,476) had 133 yards and a pair of touchdown on 18 carries and caught six passes for 29 yards. Bryce Brown also ran for 100 yards, posting 115 and a score on nine touches. Nick Foles completed 21-of-25 passes for 230 yards and two touchdowns. He did not thrown an interception for the Eagles, winners in six of their last seven games. Philly has ripped off four straight wins at home and Foles is looking forward to a rematch with Dallas, which recorded a 17-3 win at the Linc back on Oct. 20. Foles had his worst game of the season in that one, passing for 80 yards and completing just 11-of-29 passes before exiting withh a concussion. DeAndre Hopkins Texans Jersey. "Im excited to go to Dallas and play another game," said Foles. "Its a huge game. Everyone knows whats on the line." McCoy finished with 55 yards on 18 carries in the first meeting with Dallas, which has won three straight and seven of the last 10 meetings with the Eagles and leads the all-time series by a 62-47 margin. The Cowboys are 5-0 against the NFC East, while the Eagles have an 8-3 mark in conference play. McCoy talked about this upcoming game. "I can tell you they didnt see the best of the Eagles," McCoy said. "They didnt see the best of Nick Foles or LeSean McCoy. "They didnt see the best of us, but they will this Sunday, so itll be a different story." Philadelphia is 6-2 since the loss versus Dallas and its offense emerged in that span. The Eagles, who are 5-2 on the road, are first in rushing yards per game (161.9) and second in both total yards (420.7) and points scored (27.9). Dallas is 5-2 at home and has one of the worst defenses in the league, sitting last in yards allowed (418.6), 31st in passing yards allowed, 27th against the run (127.9) and 26th in points allowed (27.2). "Were all excited," Eagles linebacker and leading tackler DeMeco Ryans said of this weekends matchup. "Were pumped about it. You cant write it any better. Its for the NFC East championship and in Dallas. Were pumped about it. Like (Chip Kelly) said, our playoffs start next week and its win or go home and thats the attitude that we all have." WHAT TO WATCH FOR The Cowboys make up for an inept defense with some playmakers on offense. Dez Bryant had 73 yards and a touchdown on four receptions Sunday and has scored in each of the last four games. The mercurial wide receiver posted 110 yards on eight catches in the first meeting with the Eagles and will try to get the best of them again. Bryant will face an Eagles defense that is 30th in both passing yards allowed (285.2) and total yards allowed (392.7). Philadelphia, however, has stepped up its defensive play in recent weeks and against big name receivers in Larry Fitzgerald, Calvin Johnson and Brandon Marshall. Look for Eagles defensive back Cary Williams to get involved early and often with both his play and commentary on the field. "Its everything," Williams said of Sundays showdown. "Everything. Everything we worked so hard for in the offseason, camp, preseason, up until this moment. It means everything. Its the biggest one we got." Williams and Co. must be prepared for the other Dallas receivers in Cole Beasley, Terrance Williams and Miles Austin. All three came up huge during the Cowboys two fourth-quarter drives in which they converted three third downs and two fourth downs. "Youve got guys playing like that, that stuff is contagious," Bryant said of spreading the ball around. "It just runs through the whole team. I can roll with that anytime of the day, anywhere, it doesnt matter. Im behind it. Im with that." The Cowboys also have tight end Jason Witten, who owns seven TD catches and 1,281 receiving yards in 20 career games against the Eagles. Philadelphia will try to disrupt Ortons patience and timing in the pocket and recorded five sacks on Bears QB Jay Cutler. Trent Cole recorded three of those sacks and Mychal Kendricks had the other two. Ryans and Vinny Curry had the sacks on Romo in the first meeting. As for the Eagles offense, McCoy sets the tone and is prepared to back up his words that the Cowboys will be seeing a different team than a few months ago. He is 37 yards rushing shy of tying Wilbert Montgomerys single-season franchise record (1,513 in 1979). McCoy is trying to be the first Eagle to lead the league in rushing since Steve Van Buren in 1949. Foles will look to add to touchdown total with receivers DeSean Jackson and Riley Cooper and tight end Brent Celek. Rookie TE Zach Ertz has been more involved in recent weeks, too. OVERALL ANALYSIS Garretts job could be on the line Sunday because patience is running thin with this teams inability to consistently reach the playoffs and dominate the division. Garrett was bailed out by a hobbling Romo and a consistent Murray in Sundays come-from-behind win at Washington. But now Romo will be a spectator during Dallas run toward the playoffs. The Cowboys have the advantage of playing at home, but it didnt work out in their favor two weeks ago versus the Packers and also in an exciting loss to Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos. Orton could shock the football world by keeping it simple and letting his playmakers do the talking. As for the Eagles, they exceeded expectations this season and laid the foundation for a promising future under Kelly. Just dont tell him that. "The playoffs just start a week early for both teams," Kelly said. "If you win, you get an opportunity to keep playing. If you lose, youre going home. This is really just the first week of the playoffs." Sports Network Predicted Outcome: Cowboys 23, Eagles 17 Wholesale NFL Jerseys ' ' '

LOS ANGELES -- When Blake Griffin soared past Stephen Curry and hammered home his one-handed rebound of Danny Grangers missed jumper, the slam emphasized everything thats so impressive about the Los Angeles Clippers nine-game winning streak. Johnathan Joseph Texans Jersey . The Clippers are on this roll against good teams, at a perfect time for their playoff preparations -- and just like Griffins mind-blowing dunk, theyre doing it with style. Griffin had 30 points and 15 rebounds, Granger added 18 points off the bench, and the Clippers surged past the Golden State Warriors 111-98 Wednesday night. Chris Paul had 16 points, 12 assists and eight rebounds for the Clippers, who split their four-game season series against their Pacific Division rivals with an impressive finish to a tight game. "This is the time of year when you want to be playing your best," Griffin said. "Our fight has been great. Whoever is on the court ... up 10 or down 10, I think weve come to a point where it doesnt really matter. We stick together and try to pull it out." Griffin was in top form on both ends of the court, punctuating his latest monster performance with that rebound slam with 8:18 to play. The four-time All-Star has scored 20 points in 24 consecutive games, the second-longest streak in the NBA this season. Los Angeles has the third-longest winning streak in club history and the teams best record after 66 games (46-20), but the Clippers dont seem satisfied by their five-game lead over Golden State in the division standings. "Its impressive, because for the most part, weve been playing good teams," Granger said after his fifth game with the Clippers. "You really want to peak at this time going into the playoffs, because if a team is hitting on all cylinders, you look up and youre in the finals." Klay Thompson scored 26 points and David Lee had 20 for the Warriors, whose five-game winning streak ended with their fourth straight loss to the Clippers at Staples Center. Curry had just 13 points and 11 assists before sitting out the final minutes. Golden State got an impressive game from Thompson, but its normally reliable bench went 3 for 25, struggling mightily for most of the second half. "Weve been playing great basketball against some good teams, and we thought we could come in here and play very well and get a win," Curry said. "It didnt turn out that way, but one loss isnt going to stop us. Were going to continue that momentum, that rhythm." Los Angeles held Golden State to just one field goal in a 9:40 stretch spanning the final two quarters. The Warriors stayed in it with defence and free throws, but Darren Collison scored six quick points down the stretch in the fourth quarter, and Matt Barnes 3-pointer with 1:25 to play essentially sealed the win. The California clubs completed their series with another demonstration of the reasons they might have the West Coasts best current rivalry, although both teams agree they need playoff stakes to develop true enmity. "All four games this year have been very competitive games," Lee said. "Both teams took care of their homecourt. I think were two pretty evenly matched teams that have big plans for the post-season, so we look forward to seeing what happens the rest of the season. These last three games weve played felt like playoff-style games." Granger kept the Clippers in it during a rocky first-half stretch, making his first six shots without a miss in about 11 minutes. Los Angeles rolled off a 15-3 run to close the third quarter with an 84-79 lead, scoring nine straight points capped by Pauls 3-pointer on a crosscourt assist from Griffin with 0.1 seconds left. NOTES: Paul missed eight of his first nine shots and struggled all night under tight defence from Thompson. Clippers G Jamal Crawford sat out for the fifth time in six games with a strained left calf. Jared Dudley returned from a three-game absence with back spasms, but played just one minute. ... TAMPA, Fla. Chris Baker Redskins Jersey . -- Martin St. Louis helped the undermanned Tampa Bay Lightning stop a lengthy scoring drought. St. Louis scored two in-close goals, Ben Bishop won his 15th game this season, and the Lightning beat the Ottawa Senators 3-1 on Thursday night. "If you look at most of my goals, Im not the kind of guy thats going to score from outside the circle," St. Louis said. "Its just not my game. I try to get free and go to the net. Thats what I did tonight and the puck came to me." Valtteri Filppula also scored for the Lightning, who were coming off consecutive shutout losses to Columbus (1-0) and Pittsburgh (3-0). Ondrej Palat had two assists. Ottawa, which has dropped seven of 10, got a goal from Patrick Wiercioch. "Were just finding ways to lose," Wiercioch said. "We know we can be a better team and be more consistent, and we havent proven that yet." Tampa Bay defenceman Victor Hedman left after the first period with a lower-body injury, while defenceman Keith Aulie departed during the second due to a broken hand. Lightning coach Jon Cooper said Aulie will have surgery Friday, and that Hedman will likely miss Saturday nights game against Winnipeg. "I dont know when hes coming back," Cooper said of Hedman. "Hes more a day to day. Well see what happens, but I dont expect him back for Winnipeg." The Lightning were already without several key players, including centre Steven Stamkos (broken leg), left wing Ryan Malone (broken ankle), and defencemen Eric Brewer (lower body) and Radko Gudas (upper body). "A big effort from an extremely short-handed team," Cooper said. Stamkos has a goal of returning in February, while Malone will be out three to four weeks. Brewer and Gudas could soon return. St. Louis beat goalie Robin Lehner from just outside the crease to give Tampa Bay a 2-1 advantage 13:19 into the second. The Lightning captain tied Jason Arnott for 91st place on the NHL points list with 938. Filppulas goal from the left circle made it 3-1 at 10:56 of the third. St. Louis put the Lightning up 1-0 when he scored while falling forward with 3:15 left in the first. Wiercioch tied it at 1-all with a power-play goal 6:11 into the second. The defenceman had not scored a goal in his previous 20 games dating to last season. "Obviously, we didnt play hard enough to win," Ottawa coach Paul MacLean said. "I dont think its like inches and inches and miles and miles that we have to play harder, but we have to play harder longer." Bishop made one of his 33 saves early in the first on Chris Neils slot shot. The Lightning acquired Bishop from Ottawa last April. "Its always nice to beat a team that traded you," said Bishop, who has won both of his games against the Senators. Lehner kept the Senators within one early in the third when he stopped a shot by Nate Thompson during a breakaway. Lehner finished with 19 saves. "We were just not good enough," Senators captain Jason Spezza said. "I think we were playing too cautious, and in turn I dont think we played with enough confidence and made too many mistakes. It just seemed like we were a little bit scared to make mistakes, and when you play cautious like that and dont play with enough confidence, thats why were losing games. We have to be a more-attacking team. We have to believe in ourselves more than we do." NOTES: St. Louis was held pointless in his previous three games. ... For future suspensions, the deal also would eliminate the loophole allowing Alex Rodriguez to earn almost $3 million during his season-long ban, the people said. They spoke on condition of anonymity in recent days because talks are ongoing. The sides hope to reach an agreement by Sunday, when the Los Angeles Dodgers open the U.S. portion of the major league schedule at the San Diego Padres. While the lengths have not been finalized, a person involved with the talks said Wednesday the most likely penalties would be about 80 games for an initial testing violation and a season-long ban for a second. "It will be a significant deterrent because players will know theyre not going to just easily walk back into a lineup," Travis Tygart, chief executive officer of the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency, said in a telephone interview. "It probably is the best policy in professional sports." For use of a limited group of substances, the sides were discussing giving the arbitration panel that hears appeals grievances the authority to reduce suspensions by as much as 50 per cent if the player proves the positive test was caused by unintentional use, the person said. "What were all here for it to rid sports of the intentional cheats, those who are intending to defraud both the fans and their fellow teammates, the integrity of competition," Tygart said. "You want to have provisions in place that allow for whether theres an inadvertent or a truly non-intentional situation which may arise." Since the 2006 season, the Major League Baseballs drug agreement has called for a 50-game suspension for a first positive steroids test, a 100-game ban for a second and a lifetime penalty for a third. Baseball Commissioner Bud Selig called for tougher penalties last March, and then-union head Michael Weiner said players would consider them for 2014. Weiner died in November and was succeeded by former All-Star Tony Clark, who has led the negotiations. Major League Baseballs investigation of the Biogenesis of Amerrica anti-aging clinic led to 14 suspensions last summer, including a 65-game penalty for former NL MVP Ryan Braun of Milwaukee and a 211-game ban for Rodriguez, which was reduced to 162 games in January by an arbitrator. Shawn Lauvao Redskins Jersey. The section covering violations not related to positive tests, which was used by Selig in the Biogenesis case, will be clarified but still will allow discipline for "just cause." Many players have advocated stiffer penalties as a deterrent. Arizona pitcher Brad Ziegler spoke out after Jhonny Peralta, who served a 50-game suspension, agreed in November to a $53 million, four-year contract with St. Louis. "We thought 50 games would be a deterrent. Obviously its not. So we are working on it again," he tweeted then. "It pays to cheat... Thanks, owners, for encouraging PED use." Some players said suspensions should lead to larger monetary losses. San Diego Padres outfielder Will Venable maintained last summer "somehow having to forfeit or void your contract that youre under is something that needs to be the main focus of the penalties." But for the majority of players, that would go too far. "Id venture to guess that even though there are concerns on a number of levels, that we will never end up in a world where player contracts are voided as a result," Clark told the AP during a January interview. Addressing positives caused by inadvertent use was a factor in the talks. Philadelphia infielder Freddy Galvis was suspended for 50 games in June 2012 for a Clostebol Metabolite, which he later claimed was contained in a foot cream he used. Reliever Guillermo Mota, then with San Francisco, was suspended for 100 games in May 2012 after taking a cough syrup with Clenbuterol. The new deal also will state that a player receives none of his salary during a season-long suspension. The current deal said a player loses as many days pay as games he is suspended. Since players are paid over a 183-day season this year, arbitrator Fredric Horowitz ruled Rodriguez was entitled to 21-183rds of his $25 million salary, or $2,868,852. "Thats fantastic," Tygart said. "You hit them in the pocketbook, and thats really where the cheaters are most deterred from attempting to steal money from the other players." Wholesale NFL Jerseys ' ' '
