The hosts welcome Pondo to the show. Pondo talks about the upcoming show The Evil That Men Do August 2nd. Including Steve Corino's IWA debut, a 200 light tube match and much more, for more information please visit http://www.iwaeastcoast.com.
Pondo talks about he and Ian Rotten being the founding fathers of the light tubes match, Jack asks if they ever got any poisoning from the smashed light tubes. Pondo believes that's just a gimmick, as he has played in them for years with no problems.
Jack asks what Pondo's tag team Baka Gaijin means. Pondo explains it was something he and 2 Tough Tony were called in Japan. He asked what it means, and he was told it meant stupid foreigner. Pondo explains it's actually even worse similar to calling a black man the n word. So Pondo decided to use it as a tag team name.
Pondo talks about Corino debuting on his IWA show. Pondo has never worked with Corino but is friends with him and worked on shows together but never against each other.
OIB asks if Pondo ever has done a move that he regretted afterwards. Pondo said yes, it was the bed of pencils match for CZW. Pondo explains how he had graphite stuck in his rear for days and how uncomfortable it was sitting. Pondo finally dug it out with his fingernails. Pondo kept the graphite in a bag as a reminder to never do that again.
Jack asks if there are any matches he won't do. Pondo says razor wire is just stupid to use. Pondo will not do matches with razor wire, he thinks it would be a stupid way to go.
OIB asks Pondo what he thinks of backyard wrestling. Pondo likes to go watch it. He explains he's not trying to be cruel but he enjoys seeing kids try to do moves mess up and hit the ground. Pondo says it also shows a lot of heart for a kid to get back up after falling and hurting themselves and trying it again. Pondo talks about MDogg20 being the king of backyard wrestling. Pondo does say they need proper training to be a professional.
Pondo brings up the Death Match Tournament in September for IWA East Coast. Originally they had Kane Hodder (Jason Vorhees) on the show for Friday the 13th. Hodder couldn't do the show. Then they had Sid Hague (Captain Spaulding) but he wanted $2500. Pondo then asked someone from Child's Play. Pondo decided to have 2 tournaments in one day in South Charleston, WV on the same day. The first will be a "flippy" tournament followed by the Death Match tournament at night. Sonjay Dutt, M-Dogg 20, Ruckus, Omega and the Drunken Luchadore will be in the "flippy" tourney. The Death Match tournament will include Pondo, Jun Kasai from Japan, Mr.. Insanity Toby Klein, Deranged, Brain Damage, Corporal Robinson and more. Gold tickets for both shows are $45, which include first and 2nd row to both shows. For more information please visit http://www.iwaeastcoast.com.
OIB asks Pondo if he would wrestle the ECW Zombie. Pondo would love to, Jack and Madman Pondo talk about The ECW Zombie's latest appearance on http://www.inyourheadonline.com.
Jack asks Pondo what it was like being in the ring with Abdullah the Butcher. Pondo says he has wrestled Abby over 20 times in the US and Japan and it has always been the same match. Pondo talks about getting Abdullah on his show to bring credibility to his promotion. Pondo talks about Abby's House of Ribs. He suggests the Ribs, and also the Soul Food and Chinese food buffet early in the day.
Pondo talks about the recent Gathering of the Juggalos show where the Headhunters returned. Pondo says he flipped out for the chance to tag with the Headhunters against Violent J, Vampiro and Masawa. Pondo even got his picture taken with the Headhunters. Pondo loves doing the ICP shows. Jack asks who brought in the fans the ICP or TNA for their recent show. Pondo says they both are smart. TNA knows the Juggalos will come, and ICP knows if they do TNA it gets their name out there.
Jack asks if Pondo would ever go to WWE, or TNA. Pondo said he would love to do ECW just for the nostalgia. Pondo always wanted to work for ECW back in the day. Pondo says he doesn't expect to hear his phone ring from either TNA or WWE. Pondo says his dream ahs always been to work Japan, which he has for the last 6 years.
Pondo says the Japanese fans aren't as spoiled as the American fans. There's a wrestling match somewhere in Japan every day. Here in the USA there's so much wrestling on TV, that it spoiled American fans. Pondo says he gets treated like a Hollywood star. Wrestling is much more respected. Pondo talks about Samurai TV which you have to order, and if you don't have that you don't see much wrestling on TV. Pondo says the fans are starting to be more vocal, they used to be really quiet at the Japanese shows. Pondo says they have learned some of the chants and how to get involved. Pondo says here they sell the tickets for $10 or $15, in Japan they sell them for $40 to $100.
Jack asks if people ask Pondo about his scars. Pondo says he gets it all the time. He tells them the story from Tommy Boy, where he runs over a deer and he puts it in the car and it attacked him and scarred his forehead.
OIB asks what weapon hurts the most but looks the worst. Pondo says his stop sign makes a big sound but it's really easy to take. Pondo says sometimes when moron uses it on his Pondo's head it sounds dull but hurts like hell.
Jack talks about IYH's recent Terry Funk interview where he really put Pondo over. Pondo talks about last year's Gathering of the Juggalos show where he beat Funk for the JCW belt. Pondo says at that point he felt like he made it in the wrestling business. Pondo doesn't believe it will ever be on tape or dvd, but he will always have the match playing in his mind.
Jack asks what's the difference between watching a show on tape or being their live. Pondo says it's what you make it, if you go to a show and have fun and get into there's nothing like it. If you just sit on your hands you might as will watch TV.
IYH fan Jobber 2 the Stars asks Pondo for a good rib story. Pondo tells an hilarious story of a wrestler lending Pondo his girlfriend for the weekend, for anything he wanted to do with her. The story involves Pondo, the girl, marijuana, and a group of wrestlers on a tour bus. This story has to be heard to do it justice, and it's also very graphic to recap.
Pondo plugs http://www.smartmarkvideo.com to buy IWA East Coast DVD's. Pondo tells everyone to come check out their shows live and to check out http://www.iwaeastcost.com.
