"As I came to New York, and things became quite different for me, I realized I had this troubling issue in my home that I had to reconcile."James sought to capture the aboriginals' local color with help from their artists. "The project grew into a collaboration in which I would take photographs of things of cultural cheap oakley sunglasses significance and Indigenous people, then the artists from those communities would paint over the images," he shared.
