I'd never been fully comfortable on the 3" topper, so I thought conceivably one slightly less deep could be better. It arrived rapidly and in excellent condition, with a very pleasant cover too. The foam did have got a noticeable, but not overpowering, smell at first. I let it air out just the summer hours, then put the particular cover on. (I probably requires let it air out longer--maybe every day or two--but it all exercised anyway. ) I slept with this new pad for about 7 days, and it did seem slightly as good as the old 3" one I'd been on. Then one night I required to make a "spare" pickup bed, so I put both pads for the floor, making a 5" topper "mattress. " To our surprise, it was great--more comfy than either topper alone had been, even on a very difficult floor! When I came back to my "real" mattress, I put both pads over it. This 2" topper, along with a 2" memory foam topper, works perfectly to support relieve some of the girl joint pain and rigidity, while still giving that firm support she needs. The product arrived on time and as advertised. The type and model is correct for your girlfriend bed, and we did air it out for a couple days prior to placing it to the bed as other clients have. The zippered cover was somewhat hard to get at, but made it much simpler to move around when placing it within the mattress.
