forecast for the first Super Bowl in an outdoor stadium in

With six weeks to go in this years NFL season for each and every team, here is what I am looking for as fall football becomes winter football. AFC EAST This is when the Patriots start to roll. Nobody plays better regular season football late in the season than New England, history has shown that. On the opposite end, the Miami Dolphins have won their last three and have been very competitive in their last five. They need to win five of their last six to finish at 8-8. If they do it, they will save Tony Sparanos head coaching job. AFC NORTHThe Cincinnati Bengals are for real. At 6-4, four more wins and the magic 10-win season will appear. Cam Newton will win rookie of the year, but last Sunday Andy Dalton threw for 373 yards against a tough Ravens defence. Too bad this year there isnt two rookie of the year awards. Also, how close are the Steelers and Ravens, both at 7-3? Baltimore has scored only 36 more points and has allowed only three more points. But Baltimore has beat Pittsburgh twice, so they have the inside track in the AFC North. AFC SOUTHAt 7-3, its the Houston Texans that are in control of the division. And with six games to go it is up to Matt Leinart to live up to his early draft potential. The truth is he does not have to make many impact plays, just hand the ball off to Ben Tate and Arian Foster. They could both be 1,000 yard rushers at the end of the season. On the extreme opposite, the Indianapolis Colts could go 0-16. To me, this is amazing to think one person has that level of influence. There is something in Indy we dont know about. AFC WESTThree interesting stories to follow. The Raiders are going to continue to improve as Carson Palmer continues to master the offence. Second, Tim Tebow: will he continue to improve or continue to win in the most unexpected ways? The pressure on Tebow is amazing, but maybe that is a source of strength. And third, San Diego: costly fumble in the K.C. game, followed by being destroyed in Oakland (and the same at home) has resulted in a 4-6 situation. Which means they likely have to win the next six in a row to have a shot at the playoffs. NFC EASTThe best team right now is the Dallas Cowboys. They are tied with the Giants and still have two head-to-head games against New York. Tony Romo has put together three straight good games and is playing his best right now. With the Giants, very poor game against the Eagles and they have to play in New Orleans, with the Saints coming off their bye week. If Dallas wins Thursday against Miami, by Monday morning they could lead the division with five games to go. NFC NORTHCan Green Bay go 16-0? Well, with only Detroit and Chicago on the horizon the answer is a strong yes. I think we are watching one of the greatest quarterbacks ever entering his prime with Aaron Rodgers. The best race is for second place. Can Chicago win without Jay Cutler? Can Detroit not self-destruct and win with Stafford? You could have two playoff teams from the North. NFC SOUTHHow fortunate for playoff contenders Houston, Pittsburgh and New Orleans to be coming off the bye week here in late November? The timing is perfect. The Saints are only one game up on Atlanta and these two teams still play each other on Boxing Day. There is only one offence that has more points than the Saints (313 points scored) and thats Green Bay (355). Unlikely the Saints will catch the Pack, but a New Orleans-Green Bay NFC Championship game is a real possibility. Remember, Thursday night, game 1 of the NFL season, New Orleans at Green Bay? NFC WESTThe surprise team in 2011 to me is the San Francisco 49ers. The team is 9-1 and the only loss was in OT to the Cowboys. Alex Smith has become a great comeback player but the 49ers have only allowed 145 points this year after 10 games. That is a consistency that will be a reality through the rest of the season and into the playoffs. And yes, I know I picked the 2-8 St. Louis Rams to win the division. wholesale jerseys . The prosecutors filed arguments disputing Clemens position that a second trial would violate his constitutional protection against double jeopardy by making him face the same charges twice. Six players scored in double figures for Boston. Rondos double-double was his second straight and fifth overall since he returned from a knee injury on Jan. 17. Jeff Teague had 26 points and DeMarre Carroll scored 24 off the bench for Atlanta, which lost for the 10th time in 11 games. cheap jerseys . Raonic was beaten by Ferrer at the Australian Open and in Monte Carlo three months later. The Spaniard is ranked fifth in the world, compared to No. 31 for the Canadian. National Weather Service meteorologist Anthony Gigi said Monday the forecast for Sundays NFL title game at MetLife Stadium calls for temperatures to reach a high of 39 with a low of 27, which is average for the area. There is little threat of precipitation. Gigi, who is based in Mount Holly, said a system is expected to pass through the region on Saturday night with the potential forr a mixture of snow and rain.dddddddddddd Since the Jets and Giants were awarded the Super Bowl in May 2010, there have been fears that a huge snowstorm would affect the game. The league and state officials have contingency plans for that scenario, including moving the game to Friday, Saturday or Monday, or changing the scheduled 6:25 p.m. starting time on Sunday. The coldest kickoff temperature in Super Bowl history was 39 degrees at Tulane Stadium in New Orleans for Super Bowl VI, when Dallas beat Miami 24-3. ' ' '
