Interview Recap - Bobby Roode

Bobby Roode from TNA www.tnawrestling.com was the first guest on In Your Head Wrestling Radio this Wednesday. Which can be heard every Wednesday LIVE at 6 PM Eastern on www.inyourheadonline.com with your hosts Jack, Barbie Richards and the O.I.B.

The hosts welcome Bobby Roode to the show, and plug the pay-per-view. Bobby Roode hints at a 3LK six-man-tag match. Jack talks about the fan fest, Bobby Roode says he's looking forward to it, he also says that all of Team Canada will be there.

He thought the Spike TV debut went really well, and talked about the negative feedback that he read, reminding everyone that its only a 60 minute show. They talk about the improved production values.

Bobby Roode says he debuted in TNA with Eric Young in Team Canada. He talks about his first match, an 8 Man Tag with Team Canada. He talked about the heat from the Nashville crowd.

He talks about how he didn't think the Team Canada gimmick would go over as big. He talks about how hard it is for heel stables to stay together as long as Team Canada. He talks about bettering his promoting after Coach Scott was taken off camera, and talks about how it gave them an opportunity to promo.

He talks about where he wrestled before TNA, including WWE, Puerto Rico, and Canada.

He put over Dusty Rhodes and the booking committee, and talks about the locker room being happy with them as well.

Roode talks about his love for tag-team wrestling, he put over TNA's tag-team division. He talks about being happy doing what he's doing, he doesn't care if its singles or tag.

They compare the Nashville and Orlando's crowds, Roode talks about how different the crowds really are, how the Nashville fans are more old-school and how most of the Orlando fans are tourists, but most are really well educated.

They talk about who he travels with, he travels with Show time Eric Young and Simon Diamond and Wildcat Chris Harris, he talks about how close friends they are. He talks about how he was a wrestling fan growing up, but he grew up wanting to be a pro hockey player. He played hockey up until he was 19.

He talks about being good friends with Val Venis. He says when he first got into the business he always watched tapes foe Curt Hennig and Ric Flair. He love watching Chris Benoit and thinks that Triple H is the best right now. Jack tells Bobby that he reminds him of Arn Anderson in the ring.

He talks about how each member in Team Canada has their own goals, Eric Young and A-1 in the tag team division, Petey Williams in the X-Division and Bobby in the Heavyweights. They talk about how its important to introduce everybody on the roster little by little.

They ask if TNA's goal is to have a 2 hour show, Bobby thinks that's the goal, and is looking forward to a 2 hour Monday show. He says his one moment that stands out in his career is being in the ring with Dusty Rhodes. He says his favorite match was against AMW at Final Resolution.

He talks about how well he's being treated backstage, he says he was welcomed with open arms and everyone tries to help one another, he puts over the locker room. He says his gimmick gets over because they're the outsiders. They talk about how Team Canada gets a lot of heel heat, but a lot of people still wear the t-shirts.

One Inch Biceps asks Bobby if he likes steak, and if he eats anything on it, and Bobby Roode says he hates A-1 steak sauce. He tells everyone to "enjoy the ride" and thanks the hosts for being on the show.
