Unfair TNA criticism 2 Not building new talent

Not Building the New/Young Talent

I hear a lot of people say that TNA doesn't build new talent. I disagree with this. The majority of their roster is new/Young talent. The active TNA roster as shown on TNAwrestling.com has 45 wrestlers. I don't think Traci Brooks wrestles anymore so in that case it is 44. How many are "old guys". 10
Nash, Stiener, Angle, Sting, Booker T, Ray, Dvon,Rhino,Foley, and Jarrett.
5 of those guys are the main event mafia. How often do you even see Rhino anymore?

The whole point of the main event mafia was for the young guys to beat them. I expect that to happen at lockdown. The old guys have won more battles but the young guys will win the war. That is what matters.

The young guys have to lose battles to make the story more interesting. It also makes it mean more when they finally win the war. If the young guys won all the time the story would just be young punks beating up old men. You have to build up the heels so that it means more when the face finally wins.

The old guys do put over the young talent when it really counts.
For example: Aj beat Booker for the legends title. The only time the mafia wins is through cheating and outside interference. That is what heels are supposed to do.

Look at the lockdown card
The undercard is nothing but young talent.
Beer money(new guys and the best tag team in america) will get the pushed further by beating 3D.

MCMG new vs LAX new vs No limit new

Queen of the cage. Sojo new, ODB new, Madison new, Daffney 50% old school 50% new school 100% cool.

Knockouts title match
Taylor new, Angelina new, Kong new

X DIVISION XSCAPE MATCH
Black Machismo new vs. Sheik Abdul Bashir new vs. Consequences Creed new vs. Kiyoshi new vs. Suicide new (Kaz or Daniels)

Matt Morgan new vs Abyss new

The main event has the established stars with name recognition.
That is how it is suppoesed to be. Aj Styles and Christopher Daniels can put on great matches, but you don't main event a PPV with them and expect huge draws yet.I'm sorry to have to say that but right now Sting vs Foley will draw more fans that AJ vs Fallen Angel. I wish it were the other way around.

Look at their champions and tell me that they don't push new talent. AJ new, Beer Money new, Suicide(Kaz/Daniels) new, Awesome Kong new. Just because the world champ, who happens to be a wrestling legend, is an older talent everyone complains. Please tell me who you would put the belt that will get ratings up, PPV buys up, ticket sales up. Aj? Tried it, Joe? Tried it. Think about this from the business aspect. I'd love to see James Storm as world champ but I know that isn't going get them WWE ratings any time soon. At least not right now.

TNA is booking things just fine. Their problem is exposure. When was the last time that you saw any advertising for TNA other than on spike TV? Have you seen magazines, radio, billboards, tv commercials? TNA needs better advertising and more tv time. 2 hours a week minus commercials is not enough time build up a PPV with 7 matches. I think that until TNA gets more air time, they should do fewer PPV. I think 6 is enough.

I want people to keep in mind that a little over 3 million people watch Raw every week. A little over 1 million watch Impact every week. So there are about 2 million people who watch Raw but not Impact. Before you start telling TNA what they should be doing, ask yourself if your idea is going to bring in those 2 million people within the next 6 months.
