Police say woman took mom's jewelry

CRESTVIEW A woman was arrested for stealing jewelry from her mother, Crestview Police report.

The theft is said to have occurred June 23. A Crestview woman told lawmen her daughter, 26yearold Jessica Kerlin Barnett, was visiting that night and went through her jewelry box. The woman told Barnett to put the jewelry back and not touch it. Barnett left soon afterward.

The next day, the woman discovered some of her jewelry missing and tried to call her daughter. She then tried to find her at the Super 8 motel, as she'd paid for a room for her daughter several days before. She discovered Barnett had been arrested earlier in the day on a separate warrant. Motel staff let her recover Barnett's personal items from the room; among them was a pawn ticket listing several of the items the woman knew to Cheap Necklaces Wholesale be missing.

The woman met a Crestview Police officer at the pawn shop, where they learned Barnett's husband had pawned the items. The report didn't specify if the jewelry was recovered, or if Barnett's husband faces any charges.
